  4. Now on eBay .. slight price adjustment for fees etc .. already had some interest for just the amp so willing to sell & post separately

  6. FS - GK400RB-II ... iconic 90’s amp famous (infamous lol) for getting that ‘GK growl by hitting the rails’ ! I had it serviced last year at Astral Sonic Tech in Leeds (at some expense lol) but it was worth it. It sometimes cut out at full volume but no longer an issue (see invoice below), just want to be upfront about it. Been 100% reliable since. Housed in a Thomann shallow rack case that exposes the convection fins when open, helping with cooling tho not been an issue. Cab is not included.
  7. £400 amp & cab !
  8. Still open to offers ...
  9. Still open to offers ...
  10. Can’t remember brand but just black wood stain
  11. Yes Warmoth Dinky ! ... I bought this from Warmoth last year, my 4th Warmoth build & all have been quality
  12. Geddy Lee ... just love that rotosound grind !
  13. Can’t comment on radioshop but I’ve some Bareknuckle Jazz pups & luthier who installed them was very impressed & he must have heard so many pups, it was the first thing he noticed .. I also use Bareknuckle for guitar & really like em .. my 2c
  14. Will split if interested ...
  15. I asked the same question once as was told by the experts that both 8 Ohms speakers (mid & woofer) will stay 8 Ohms with a crossover. Don’t ask me how it works I’ll let others chime in
  16. I agree .. maybe it’s a sign of the times ? A lot of good (tho possibly too heavy) stuff just not shifting .. almost give away prices. I’m skint & not close but would probably buy it if my stuff sold but no one seems interested ... Why don’t you just keep it ? What’s your issue ?
  17. Thanks for the reply & offer to try out, afraid I’m too far away. I’ve a GK400RB & it’s 200w are loud so no surprise the 150 probably is too. 200 quid would be reasonable for either the 212 cab or amp alone, together an absolute bargain but I really need something lightweight.
  18. Nice idea making a combo .. I did a similar thing with my GK400RB but it turned out to be too heavy, so my question is ‘what’s the weight please ? ‘ And, in your opinion, is this loud enough to hang with a hard hitting rock drummer ? I know that’s not an easy question to answer but just your thoughts as I think these GK’e are mainly used for ‘jazz’ type gigs with URB.
  19. 2nd to last row so quite a wait to say hello lol ...
  20. I had my Excess 4 up FS at Bassdirect for quite a while & reduced by couple of hundred as I wasn’t getting much interest, after they asked me to reduce again I decided to get it back as I’d take too much of a hit .. when it arrived I noticed it had a bit of condensation on it & felt cold like it had been stored overnight in a cold warehouse .. started playing it & the (low) action was just perfect, like it had just been set up ! What a neck ! So that made me change my mind & keep it, I only (foolishly) tried selling as I was so used to jazz bass length & initially struggled with the extra frets etc I have taken the preamp out as I felt it was a bit noisy (never gelled with preamps) & just wired in parallel with vol pot, perfect for me same as my two jazz basses. Have now gigged it & just love it, so glad I came to my sense lol Love the fret dots on your 5 btw .. I went back to 4 strings a couple of years ago & think the Vigier has an even better neck than my previous Dingwall ABZ5 ..... kinda don’t wanna try an Excess 5 just in case I like it too much lol
  21. Guess I’m one of the lucky ones .. never even thought about this kinda thing before but I have been a fan for 35 years ....
