1. I built a sealed 110 using an Eminence Alpha a few years ago & it was quite nice (for home practice) but couldn't take much power. I'm sure I've read on TB that the Alpha or Beta 12A might be an ok driver for this app.
2. What's the mod on the RC booster ?
3. I'll mention this combo to our guitarists as he's without an amp, I'd recommend it but think he wants a stack ... any trades to ease the financial blow ?
4. Bump ... trades welcome
5. Any trades welcome .... tho might still say no, I've just no room for this on my pedal board ... It's a really good robust tuner in new condition.
6. If it's 35" scale I'll trade my modded Yamaha BBN5 for it if you're interested. Si
7. Thanks for posting the vid Andy sounds good but still on the fence as I'd also like a Soundblox OFD ... too much choice & too little money
8. Ditto ... GK 700RB-II great amp ... crank that master & get that growl
9.
Our new full-range high resolution PA cab is actually a Big Baby 2 cab with a really nice 800W amp module with DSP built into it. The standard presets are for PA use in different acoustics but we can also pre-program them for bass guitar, FRFR guitar, keyboard, acoustic instrument etc use. We're just making a load of them for the Brighton Fringe Festival but once we have a spare one I'm happy to loan it out to curious bassists. http://barefacedbass.com/product-range/FR800.htm
I'd certainly like to compare a powered BB2 to my powered bagend 212 ... I used to have BF S12T & love to hear that cab with a quality power module ... So count me in Alex on 2nd dibs !
10. I'd go for a new (with trial period) Barefaced Retro Two10 ... not sure how well it handles low B but certainly light weight & also comes in 4 Ohm
11. Feeler - I'm considering selling/ trading this (intergrated) power amp which is currently installed in my cab. It's only be used at home & once 'cranked' at a studio recording session so as new. Got a separate poweramp incoming as I need to be able to drive different cabs ... 1000w (4 Ohm) class D smps, 3kg, 3 position HPF, 1/4" & Xlr combi jack plus thru jack, powercon lead. No volume knob so 100% power adjustable via whatever preamp master control you have. update 10/07/15 - amp has a slight low level hiss / intermittent static crackle noise, not always noticeable and probably not at all at moderate to high volume but wanted to mention it and I've adjusted the price but realise this might put people off so I'm going to install it into a cab I built ... you're welcome to come & try and I'll take it out if you want it Below are some info links etc ... http://www.bagend.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Minima-One1.pdf http://mixonline.com/news/mixlinelive/bag-end-minima-one/422016 http://www.bassplayer.com/amps/1166/bag-end-pd10bx-d/2592 http://www.bassplayer.com/amps/1166/bag-end-ps18e-d/26426
12. Anyone tried one of these yet ?
13. I made (assembled/finished) two Warmoth baritones ... a 7 string (which I sold to our guitarist so I still get to play/admire it) and did another 6 string tele style ... both tuned to low F# so nearly full octave below normal tuning. I really like the low single note djent riffing that Meshuggah / Periphery etc use which does suit our type of metal ... I tune my bass in drop A however as I didn't get on with low F# on my bass. If you tune in B you can use thinner gauges & perhaps have more options than going really low.
14. Bagend Minima One is 1000w 3kg but needs either mounting into your cab or you could build a little case for it .... http://www.bagend.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Minima-One1.pdf
15. Recently bought a pedal online from guitarguitar with 'free' delivery, didn't like it so sent it back which cost me £5, they refunded but took £6.99 off for delivery charges .. I was not happy as it cost me £12 to try a pedal out. I emailed expressing this but tho apologetic they still deducted their 'free' postage. They do state this in their terms & conditions but who always reads the small print ... I also bought a pedal off GAK & sent it back as I didn't like it .. it cost me to post back to them but I got a full refund .. I didn't read their small print either ...
16. That's fab ! Would never normally consider purple but love this model esp that neck / headstock
