I've built a few sealed cabs & currently planning my 1st ported 110 similar to 8" guitar cab I have in FS at the mo. I always use quite thick ply so not really light weight like BF but I have struggled finding suitable drivers for sealed cabs if you're looking at DIY.
Eminence do the B810 but they're 32 Ohms. Not sure what SVT210AV uses tho.
What amp you gonna use btw ? And how light weight ? And what size venue/with/without PA support ?

Ps. This is more of a response to 'Phil Starr' than OP, soz
alas back up for sale as I need funds for other projects & it's just too nice an ornament, so needs to be used !
also got two nice little 8" cabs to go with this as well
- Eden N8 combo (cab without amp) I re-tolexed this in cream/off white with black hardware / speakon 8 Ohm .. not the best tolex job but looks ok (still better than carpet finish) = £30
- hand built open/closed back guitar cab (black stained tru-oil ply) loaded with Celestion Eight 15 ... sounds & looks great IMHO ... speakon/jack combo 16 Ohm = £70
These prices don't include postage & I'd rather you checked em out first but sure we could work something out. Will take better pics in daylight if anyone wants them.
Both sound great with this amp ........ I'll do a deal on the whole lot !
I also looked at valve jr but ended up buying a Traynor Darkhorse & built an 8" cab using Celestion Eight 15 ... sounds great. Have also used the head on 15w setting thru bass cab & gotten nice results.
Hi all, got the pickups & from this Yamaha BBN5 for sale/trade ....
- pickups are single coil & same size as each other (same size as Dimarzio Ultra J 5's except deeper) = £30
All prices include UK postage ... payment via paypal gift or bank transfer.
Trades .... Boss LS-2, (Soundblox OFD & Orbital Mod + cash your way)
4-way rotary switch from my ABZ5 ... £30 posted
1 = bridge pup
2 = br + n parallel
3 = br + n series (with trim pot)
4 = neck
The trim pot enables you to dial down (or up) the output in series to match parallel but I still found it too much with my Big Single pups ... unusual to find this type of switch tho.
Don't ask me which wires go where, unfortunately I forgot to ask the luthier who replaced this to mark the contact points so you'll have to find (measure/test) yourself but there can't be that many possibilities.
I've had two Warmoth necks (jazz bass & baritone guitar) & can't fault them ,,, really nice but not cheap after tax/duty etc,
not sure if it's worth it on the Squire tho, depends on why you wanna change it I guess.
I used a Gallien Krueger RB700-II with my S12 (one of the amps Alex recommended) ... monsterous !
I'd probably go for the GK RB400-IV 2nd time round as it'll 'growl' sooner .. 700 was too loud lol !
just my 2c
sure there're loads of good compatible amps out there
My amps fine but don't want a spare hole in my bass lol so it need filling, I never use passive tone pots (never cut but may wanna boost so passive no good) so thought a nice preamp (single knob type though prob a stacked one) ... been lookng at John East mid sweep & Artec EXP. Basically I have 3 holes & one is for my pup selector .... recommend me something for other two ? .... guessing volume for starters ....
I do appreciate all your responses & do take it all into consideration btw
cheers
