3. I'll also sit up & take notice ... I like Periphery & think he's pretty decent on guitar .. oh & I also play a Dingwall lol
4. I'll trade for this as I don't play 4 string anymore .... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/186662-fs-frankenjazz-nordstrand-big-singles-l320-reduced-l300/page__fromsearch__1
5. Looks great ! Just put another order in at Warmoth myself ...
6. Trade for GK 400RB-IV / TC Electronic RS112 plus slight cash adjustment depending on condition etc
7. PM's replied to .... but sorry cab now sold/gone ! - GK700RB-II £350 10 months warranty remaining - trade plus cash my way for GK 400RB-IV / TC Electronic RS112
8. Soz mate but none of the above ....
9. Hi all ... (update 16/12/2012) BF cab now sold ! Don't really wanna part with this but no longer in a band & thinking my gigging days are perhaps over so I'm thinking of downsizing. [s]Barefaced S12T[/s] tweeter has no crossover as this was wired by Alex to bi-amp (4-wire speakon) with my GK 700RB-II which allows you to drive the 2 12" kappalites into that (imho) beautiful 'GK growl' yet still retain 'clean' tweeter frequencies.. which for my heavy rock band was perfect but I realized last week when I auditioned for a 'quieter' band that I couldn't achieve that growl as this setup is just too darn loud ! Don't be fooled that this amp isn't loud or can't do clean ... it might not be micro but I've had many amps over the years (Mesa Stratergy 400 / Phil Jones M500 / Markbass Classic 300 / Gk 400RB / MB200 / Warwick Tubepath 10.1 / Ashdown Superfly / TCE Classic450 / Peavy Max 700) & this certainly holds it's own .. in fact I'm keen to get another GK ... but not interested in micro / D class ... give me G-class ! I'll run it 'off the rails' lol. I've had both from new & as usual I've looked after my gear .. amp has a couple of minor cosmetic scratches (& does has rack ears just not on photo). I've had the metal corners on the cab powder coated black & replaced the chrome screws with black ones too (except the handle screws as they are in fact T-bolt connections rather than just plain screws, good thinking there Alex) .. cab's probably been used half a dozen times. Trade wise I'm only really looking for lower wattage GK amps (400 / 800) to achieve that 'growl' at lower volumes as I would like a still play at home / do recordings etc yet still be able to jam with a band should the occassion arise ... maybe paired with just a single (compact) 12" cab (like TC Electronic RS112) .. open to offers but quite picky .. would also consider a Mesa Walkabout combo (esp if it's either blackfaced or has custom tolex) [s]Will sell separately but remember the cab needs bi-amp or will be tweeterless ...[/s]. - GK700RB-II £[s]350[/s] now £300 (warranty expires approx Oct 2013 .. conditions apply (slightly lol) - trade plus cash my way for GK 400RB-IV) [s]- BareFaced S12T £650[/s] [s]Both £900 (will include 4-wire Phil Jones speakon speaker lead $99.95 new) .... don't really want to post this but[/s] can possibly deliver at extra cost depending etc .. this price is for pickup only.. Bingley W.Yorks .. can now post but £20 extra Will take some more pics later (or on demand as I might have reached my upload allowance (again)) cheers Simon (07508211932)
10. I'm thinking of downsizing so might be interested in a trade (+ cash my way) for your Hydrive 112 .. I've a Barefaced Super 12 T tho tweeter has no crossover as this is wired to bi-amp with my GK RB700-II which I'm also thinking of selling .. had both from new (black powder coated hardware on S12) .. cab's only been used a dozen or so times .. I'll pm you in case you don't see this post ... cheers Si
11. Bedankt HazBeen ... nederlandse kopers ook welkom lol ...........
12. 40mm at nut & 57mm at 12th fret ... not sure of radius but Paulman usually made 'traditonal' sizes so guessing it's sort of standard jazz spec (except for the weight). I used to wear a wide padded strap with this bass & don't recommend this if you're (don't take this the wrong way) a bit of a light weight ... but a monster tone tho ...
13. open to offers but only really after a mac mini
14. I'll come have a jam .... here's my mobile 07508211932 What sort of music do you guys play / like ? cheers Simon
15. REDUCED £300 (26/11/12)
16. REDUCED £700
17. Only thing similar to what you're after would be my Markbass Classic 610 cab ... but if you're downsizing it's probably bigger than 410 tho at 35kg prob a bit lighter.
18. Great looking rig, congrats , might have to pick your brains at some point regarding POD for recording as I've got an HD bean (guitar) but still need Mac (pc) Is that like my S12T but with 3012LF's & a midrange ?
19. I got a jazz from Warmoth years ago & quality was excellent ... can't advise on pickup choice other than go split coil with HB like you already suggested just to give your self a few more tonal options (I also prefer SC) .. I'm gonna be ordering another Warmoth myself soon but 7 string baritone this time ....good luck with the build Si ps. I've also dealt with Nordstrand .. great customer service !
20. I ran my Markbass Classic 300 (all valve) thru my BareFaced S12T till I got my GK 700RB-II .. S12 was made bi-amped esp for the GK as Alex suggested seeing as I really like the old GK 400RB (so no crossover to tweeter) .. absolutely 'spot on' for my kinda sound & easy loud enough. (MB Classic ran without tweeter btw & still sounded great) ... just my 2c .. so get a 2nd hand 700RB for about £300 ..... but there are probably quite a few other good options even at that price. cheers Si
