  1. I bought some items from Rich - thanks for a pleasant transaction and quick posting!
  2. Does this help, from https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/402727-class-d-power-amps/?do=findComment&comment=4005551 ?
  3. Another option is to leave out one control; e.g. the G&L SB-2 is a production PJ with no tone knob. Or you can have a blend and tone but no volume, which is what I have in my PJ bitsa. You could also have a push-pull knob - so setup like a P bass but then pulling the tone knob adds in the J pickup on full volume. It's a good chance to think about how you use the bass in real life and get something to suit. BTW if you don't want to do your own electronics, you can buy standard or custom looms from basschatter KiOgon.
  4. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/505841-fender-60th-anniversary-standard-p-bass-and-bag/ Fender Candy Apple Red £450
  5. Thomann has a filter for number of inputs. Here's the link for three or more: https://www.thomann.co.uk/cat_GK_palpaf.html?feature-67566-first=3&oa=prd The Yamaha DXR and QSC K series are good.
  6. Joyo ZGP? I've not used one myself but read about them here previously.
  7. Yes, you can run a daisy chain from one (or more) of the outputs of your ISO-1AC Pro, as long as each chain doesn't exceed the output's max current (in this case, 500mA). So before buying the ISO-10AC Pro, it's worth trying something like this https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Truetone-5-Channel-Daisy-Chain-for-1-Spot/1V42 There may be some experimentation with which pedals work best together on a chain.
  8. More info is needed: what are the individual and total current requirements of your pedals; do you need any/all of the outputs to be isolated; and do you mean you need 8-10 physical outputs, or is daisy-chaining from fewer ok? But I suspect nothing will be cheaper than the Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-1AC Pro at £59 delivered. Is it very important how much of the total cost is the product and how much is the postage?
  9. Ah ok I see. Origin offer multiple similar products, particularly if you include the recently discontinued models - thanks for the clarifications.
  10. Is it for bassists though? https://origineffects.com/product/cali76-fet-compressor/ says “Optimised for guitar”. It’s a different model https://origineffects.com/product/cali76-bass-compressor/ which is for bassists.
  11. What about if you arrange/contract the courier, absolving the seller of any complications (whether real or perceived)?
  12. Blackstar Carry-on Bass I bought this new about a year ago to use as back-up, but have never needed it. It still has the film on the pickups and pickguard. Finish: Jet Black Body: Poplar Scale length: 23.46″ (596mm) Fingerboard: Laurel, 18 frets Strings: 125-105-85-65 custom gauge Controls: Volume and Tone Weight: 2.8kg (6lb 3oz) Includes the padded gig bag which is good quality and has a neck support. Bass: https://blackstaramps.com/product/carry-on-st-bass-black/ Bag: https://blackstaramps.com/travel-guitar-gig-bag/ £140 collected from Bristol or +£10 posted within the UK.
  13. It is surely this bass, which says "Withdrawn Again - off to be fretted". https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/461852-withdrawn-again-off-to-be-frettedmaruszczyk-elwood-fretless-5p-new-price-%C2%A3850/
  14. One approach is to buy a complete bass and then sell the neck on. Apparently the poplar-bodied Squier Sonic precisions are lightweight. E.g. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/497371-nbd-squier-sonic-p/ Or perhaps https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176592471436 which says 3.7kg. Ultralites will further reduce the weight by about 150g and improve the overall balance which is important with light bodies - https://btnmusic.co.uk/products/hipshot-licensed-hb6-ultralite-bass-machine-heads?variant=47499564253508
  15. If you like the neck, put together a bass around it rather than get a completely different bass which might not have as nice a neck. Here is my bass. The neck is lovely to play and is from a Classic Vibe Late 60s jazz. The body is from a Vintage Modified PJ; it's agathis and is particularly light. With Hipshot Ultralites the complete bass is 3.1kg and balances fine.
  16. Yamaha BB435 £350 collected from Bristol. I'll be in Nottingham, London, and Brighton over the next few weeks so could hand over in those cities, or somewhere on the route from Bristol. UK postage at £20 possible if you can wait for me to obtain a suitable box. Great five-string bass. I'd made a commitment to four-string basses a while back - but this BB435 was the one which tempted me back. However, gigging it recently has also confirmed that four-strings really are the way for me; hence this one is up for sale. In good condition with one small ding and a few scratches on the body. Back of the neck is unblemished. Weighs 4.3kg (9lb 8oz) on my digital kitchen scales.
  17. I thought it was the Gotoh GB528. E.g. https://www.talkbass.com/threads/sire-bass-club.1144219/post-27571316 Also see this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1DDRsiioM0 That's a P5 though, but I think the tuners are the same as the V5.
  18. It's the voice coil of the compression driver. Even RCF's own marketing isn't always that clear ('The 1.4" compression driver offers unique vocal clarity and sound projection'), but they do list it properly in the actual specs ('Compression Driver: 1 x 1.0", 1.4" v.c'). The exception is the smaller speakers like 708, which doesn't have a 0" voice coil 🙂
  19. Just sold something to John - he paid immediately, and a seamless transaction - thanks 👍
  20. Looks like a Super Compact - is it 56cm x 44cm x 30cm and 11kg? The oldest it can be is 2013 (when the model was first released) and the newest is 2022 (they transitioning the logo during 2021/2022). The older/original Compact and Midget have the port on the bottom.
  21. I'm curious why... the advantage of racks is that they allow multiple pieces of equipment to remain permanently wired - but that doesn't apply in your situation. As mentioned above, racks are 19" or half racks are 9.5" (your amp is 10.75" I think) The problem isn't just finding a 12" (or whatever) rack though, but also the right-sized ears or shelving you'll need to hold the amps in. I guess you want removable lids - but could something like this work? https://www.thomann.co.uk/casefactory_lid_economy.html You can spec the size, but you'd still need something to hold the amps down. Whatever you end up with, remember to leave ventilation space and/or cutouts for the fans.
  22. I've had three dealings with Dan over the last 18 months. The first he did some customization work for me, to a high standard. He was happy to tweak it to my preference, and with good communication throughout. The second time, I sold him some stuff and that transaction went well and with good comms. The most recent time, I committed to buy some items from him, getting as far as paying him - then my circumstances changed (the issue was 100% at my end) and when I explained what was going on, he had no problem in immediately reversing the transaction for me. Anyone should have 100% confidence to deal with Dan - thanks!
  23. TecAmp kind of became Eich - same guy (Thomas Eich). So Eich would be on my list e.g. https://www.thomann.co.uk/eich_amplification_112xs_8_cabinet.htm
  24. I use a Dewalt Tstak deep box because I put other stuff in there, but a smaller 16" box could work if you wanted to carry only the Nano . I like that it remains upright and so everything inside stays more-or-less where you put it, rather than a briefcase-style box which changes orientation when you pick it up.
