  1. Fender 7250 Nickel-plated steel roundwounds 45/65/85/105 Basically unused - they arrived on a new bass but I swapped them out straight away for flats. Cut for Fender 4-inline headstock. £8 posted
  2. Ernie Ball flatwound strings (normal, not Slinky) 45/65/85/100/130 These are a few years old, so quite dark and thumpy. Cut for 4+1 headstock. £20 posted
  3. La Bella 0760M "Original" flatwound strings 52/73/95/110 Ultimate Motown vibe - the strings James Jamerson and Duck Dunn used. These also downtune nicely - I had them tuned DGCF for a while, like Pino when he was playing with D'Angelo. Cut for Fender 4-inline headstock. £30 posted
  4. La Bella 760FL-B flatwound strings 45/65/85/105/128 5-string version of the classic-sounding flatwounds - just a couple of months old. Cut for 4+1 headstock. £40 posted
  5. Adagio flatwound strings 45/65/80/100 Great sounding flatwounds; barely used as they were on a backup backup bass. Cut for Fender 4-inline headstock. £8 posted
  6. Maruszczyk neck screw size. I've previously read complaints about Maruszczyk's soft screws and indeed when I bought a used Jake last year it came to me with at least one neck screw head stripped. Anyway, I finally got around to replacing them this week. Couldn't find the size on the internet anywhere, so if it helps anyone it's 4mm x 40mm.
  7. Met James in a supermarket car park to sell a bass. He was right on time, we had a nice chat, highly recommended basschatter! Thanks James.
  8. MXR Bass Octave Deluxe Analogue octave pedal with superior tracking. The 'growl' (throaty tone) and 'girth' (deep tone) knobs give a lot of control over the sound of the octave, the 'dry' knob mixes in your direct signal, and the 'mid' button adds mids - amount/frequency are adjustable via internal trim pot/slider. £90 posted UK

  9. Great strings! No, not normal for the E to sound dead. Never noticed the silk lengths before, but mine seems about the same:

  12. Continual low booming on all notes, I would say HPF. But boomy only on some notes - which ones? For me it was A/Bb on the G string, and a wolf tone eliminator helped e.g. https://musicalsuppliesdirect.co.uk/product/double-bass-wolf-note-eliminator/ It goes on the afterlength and alters or dampens its resonant frequency (or something like that).
  13. Gator GPA-TOTE10 speaker bag, to fit a 10" powered speaker - I had a Yamaha DXR10 in there. https://gatorco.com/shop/speakers/bags-speakers/speaker-tote-bag-10-gpa-tote10/ Outside dimensions (L x W x H): 54.6 x 34.3 x 32.7 cm Inside dimensions (L x W x H): 53.3 x 33 x 31.5 cm Waterproof polyester Dual zip opens up the whole top and one side for easy access. £25 posted.

    Variable HPF

Hmm, the manual also says that its low cut range is 400Hz-6khz, which is very high (both the low and high range). I'm trying to recall my slap setup from many years ago - I had independent eq, but my click didn't really have that much low frequency output to start off with.

    Variable HPF

I don't think that switch is for the low cut. "Switch to select either 4 kHz or 8kHz base frequencies for the TREBLE control" https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1601/8433/files/SH_RB-Pro_owners_manual.pdf?6866837466035804435 You shouldn't need a HPF on the click pickup - is it creating a problem just blending it straight in? Still get the HPF though - to control rumble feedback on your main pickup.
  16. Thanks Ian for our recent transaction and fast payment!
  17. Precision bass pickguard from earlpilanz on eBay. The colour is called "Dark Red Tortoiseshell" £10 posted.
  18. £235 if collected from Bristol BS3.
  19. Vintage White basswood body from 2013 Squier Matt Freeman precision bass. Weight 2.152kg (4lb 12oz). When it was recently fully assembled as a complete bass, the weight was 3.975kg (8lb 12oz). Small scratch by the G-string side of the bridge. There are some paint imperfections near the neck pocket. Afraid I don't have the right tool to accurately measure the pocket dimensions, but I've had three Fender and Squier necks in there. Neck plate and original screws included. NB the five bridge holes are slightly wider apart than a standard vintage bridge. £90 including UK postage The original Matt Freeman "HiMass" bridge with brass saddles which fits perfectly in the body. Includes screws. +£15 Pickguard: "Dark Red Tortoiseshell" from earlpilanz. Sorry, I don't have any pickguard screws to include. +£5 Pickguard: brown tort of unknown origin. Drilled for pickup cover and tug bar. +£5 Chrome bridge and pickup covers. These were imported from America due to the HiMass bridge being a slightly different size to a standard Fender bridge. N.B. the photo looks like the pickup cover might have scratches running across its width - those are reflections. Screws included. +£15 I'll throw in a tug bar & screws, if you want that too.
  20. Did you find something in the end? I'm deciding on pickguards myself at the moment - would be nice to find something good, although I don't want to get too carried away and start spending $$$. I have a couple to hand here. The first is "Dark Red Tortoiseshell" from earlpilanz - not sure I love this one - bit too much yellow: The second is "Red Tortoise" from Guitar Anatomy: The third (not red, but for contrast/comparison) is some brown tort of unknown origin.
  21. Zoom MS-60B £50 posted https://zoomcorp.com/en/gb/multi-effects/multistomp-pedals/ms-60b/ Great pedal with amp/cab sims, effects, and tuner. All working fine, but some cosmetic scuffs - see photos. Power supply not included - manual says 9V 500mA but https://stinkfoot.se/archives/829 reckons it only draws 140mA. Or use 2x AA batteries.
