Very well-used, torn, Tom & Will double bass case. Missing a handle on the side of the upper bout, right-hand side. The worst tear is on the front of upper bout. Repaired with Tenacious Tape but the repair has failed. There is a repair near the bridge handle which is ok. At the bottom of the lower bout, the right-hand side seam is starting to tear; the left-hand side has been repaired but is starting to come away. External tape is Tenacious Tape; internal tape is duct tape. If you have use for it, it's yours for £15, which is the cost of posting in a cardboard box. I have some other stuff to take to the dump on Monday 28th March, so that's the deadline!

@stewblack I'm covering for another bassist so I'm a bit busier than usual! Dropping price to £450 collected from Bristol, or perhaps I can deliver/meet somewhere. I've also looked into posting, and UPS is coming up at £32 (for a box 84 x 58 x 46 cm, 22kg). I could go 50/50 on this cost with a buyer. Send me a message to discuss anything! -
Yes, I remember that sale in Feb 2019 as it was one day before I moved house and my place was a mess! @Zolotar is a nice guy - came round to purchase the bass at the agreed time, and made a transfer with no problems. Recommended buyer! 👍 (And I miss that BB434...)

Use the right tool for the job (i.e. a set list app)! I use Piascore which is just like forScore, but free. I do have a paid version of forScore - but prefer Piascore. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/piascore-hd/id406141702

In-ears. Angled speaker in front of you (either a PA speaker or angled bass cab), since your ears point forwards not backwards.

Opinions about Squier Precision Classic Vibe 70 2nd generation?
jrixn1 replied to dave84's topic in Bass Guitars
There was another thread praising these the other month: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/453501-nbd-squier-precision-70s-bass/ I chipped in with a comment there - basically I prefer the Squier to the Maruszczyk Jake and Sandberg Cali VM I own/owned. At the end of the day, it's all subject to personal preference; but I'd say definitely give it a go.- 3 replies

I'd see if your guitarist is open to swapping speakers for a gig to see how you get on with a DXR10. I've not tried a Headrush, but I did a couple of gigs with a QSC CP8 (1x8") as my bass monitor (with full PA support). It was loud enough - I could tell what notes I was playing - but it didn't have much depth tonewise. Sold it in the end.

I have an RCF 732-A for sale in the marketplace. As for 10" speakers - for £30 more than the Mackie, I'd take a Yamaha DXR10 mkII every time. I've been using one as a monitor and our sound engineer always has me cut the low frequencies, as they're otherwise affecting FOH. This is at wedding venues and theatres.

For sale only (no trades): RCF ART 732-A MK4 + fitted soft case. £475 Now £450 SOLD https://www.rcf.it/en_US/products/product-detail/art-732-a-mk4/210081 This is a truly great powered speaker, with 500W RMS into a 12" woofer and 200W RMS into a 1.4" compression driver with 3" voice coil. I've used it with bass guitar, upright bass, and synth bass, through a preamp pedal, and it sounds clear, full, and loud. Responds intuitively to EQ adjustments. Honestly, this consistently gives the best stage sound I've ever had, and I can hear myself clearly wherever I'm positioned on stage. I've used it both as a personal monitor in the floor wedge position and swung behind me in the traditional backline position. To give some sort of comparison, my previous rig was a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.2 900W head into a Barefaced Big Baby 2 - I sold that rig in preference for the RCF. Why sell if I love it so much?? Nearly all my gigs are through a full PA, and the RCF is overkill for my monitoring needs - it's way too loud and I hardly have it ticking over. I've moved to a smaller 10" monitor now so sadly the RCF is surplus to requirements. Comes with the official RCF live-in case. You can use the speaker without removing it from the case, by fastening back the flaps on the front and rear. Height: 637mm / 25.08" Width: 384mm / 15.12" Depth: 363mm / 14.29" Weight: 17.8kg / 39.24lbs Collection from Bristol, or I'm gigging this month in Tewkesbury, Torquay, Winchester, Sutton Coldfield, and London. Any questions please reply here or send me a private message.

An RCF HD 10-A would work for home use, rehearsing, and monitoring (you can lay it down as a wedge). Plug your preamp in and you're all set. I had a mk4 a few years ago but there is now a mk5. https://www.rcf.it/en_US/products/product-detail/hd-10-a-mk5/1661220

Message the seller directly and see if he'll accept £1075 via The Gallery. He'll still get the £900 he was after privately after their 15% commission. You should move on this bass if you want it, as Jake 5p will not come up very often on the used market. I had to wait a couple of years before the one I now own came up for sale.
