  1. The SQ's were also made in the 80's too! in fact they were made alongside the JV's. The JV's being a take on the late 50's Precision, and the SQ's a take on the 60's.
  2. Buy you know fine well the point I was making don't you, Mr Clever arse. 🤓
  3. Those Hondos do pop up on Facebook Marketplace quite often, but would you're risk buying on there?
  4. No, that's a pic I found online, it's identical to the one I had.
  5. Yeah, I paid £249 for the JV and they threw in a hard case free. Sadly life got in the way and I had to sell it in 1990.
  6. Oops I didn't know that and tbh didn't give that a thought! Please accept my sincere apologies. I was just making the observation of how Americanistaion is creeping into our language. Sky TV are the biggest culprits.
  7. I got one out me mam's catalogue around 1981, it had a cream coloured P pup and a Gibson style 3 point attrocity of a bridge, IIRC it cost around £110. It was an uncomfortable thing and if that was a Dimarzio model P pup it sounded Scheiße! I sold it and put the cash towards one of those new to the market Squier P basses.
  8. Jamiroquai ARE back, not is back! I'm not a fan of all this Americanisation of the English language.
  9. I bought some strings from Martin they arrived exactly as described and well packed. Martin is a great bloke to deal with, great communication and a flawless transaction.
  10. Yes, they have a much more substantial grip than the Dunlops. As for flex, they're no different to any other 1.0 I've used. It might be worth trying ebay for smaller quantities.
  11. I recently bought a set of these, they're Edifier S351DB's. They're a great sounding set, they have a choice connection options, inc 3.5 jack, Bluetooth or Optical. They're a bit pricey at £249, but well worth it, besides what the other half doesn't know won't kill me will it?
  12. I'm mainly play finger style, but when I use a pick I use these. IMHO They are far better for grip than any of the other brands I've tried. Available in many thicknesses here. https://www.guitarsuperstore.com/snarling-dogs-105-c.asp
  13. Took a punt on this Vintera II Early 60's model just under a month ago, the neck shape has took a bit of getting used too, but it's a lovely thing, Fender Ensenada have really upped their game over recent years.
  14. Bought a Ernie Ball neoprene strap off of Iain, great price, nice fella, excellent comms. Thanks Iain.
