  1. Cheers bassix I've just been reading some reviews on that other bass forum (over the pond) some are saying that this latest runs of CV's are of a poorer finish quality than previous CV's (I have a 70's CV) and are more than likely to be rebranded VM's. I've decided to pass on getting one, (unless you can convince me otherwise) I'm thinking of pre-ordering a Mex Fender Player Precision as I can't justify going all out for a US model.
  2. Hi, I'm considering purchasing one of these but thought I would ask here first if anybody has tried one or know if the vintage style BBOT on them is standard size, or wider like the Hi-Mass bridges on previous CV models? Thanks in advance
  3. If you haven't already, you chaps should check out these lads from Argentina. Steve Hackett has been known to perform with them.
  4. When challenged, he goes off on tangents without answering any questions asked of him and just attacks you. Comes across as unstable. It's a crime that ebay keep on allowing him to trade his monstrosities, he needs to be closed down.
  5. Surprise surprise the stereo Precision didn't sell...........What an appalling bodger!
  6. He sets himself up for ridicule, eg Cleartone Guitar Conversions......Don't they just look like they deliver? Hahahaha As for his 100% feedback! It wouldn't surprise me if he had family members and friends bidding on his MONSTROSITIES to attain that score.
  7. I'll second every word of that! I bought my Epi Classic Pro from Hartnoll's in Taunton back in 2012 for £399. Having tried the Gibson they had in stock, it never felt or sounded that superior that it made me want to pay an extra £700 for it.
  8. It's not one from he who can't be named is it?
  9. Yes so true! But at the end of the day neither suffered for having a lack of big hits.
  10. That would not surprise me at all! I'd love to see a video of him doing one of these 'Cleartone conversions'.
  11. It's a Gibson! Two quick ways to tell A. Bridge placement B. Neck heel. With the Gibson, The Bridge is further back and they have a rounded heel. Epi Bridge is closer to the Bridge pickup volume pot, and the heel is almost squared. Also, this real or Epi thing is a bit off, my Classic Pro plays better than the Gibson I tried.
