1. I have a 70's CV and if I had the cash spare I'd be up to Bristol for this in no time.
2. Nice bargain for someone with the readies. 3. Graeme Douglas and the late Dave Higgs of Canvey Island stalwarts Eddie and the Hot Rods.
4.
Mmm, not sure about that. There can't be many rock fans who haven't heard of him, UFO and MSG. I'm overlooking Scorpions as he was only on their debut album/tour. I think his popularity suffered a lot due to the issues he had, but I really don't think he's overlooked or not respected as a decent guitar player.
You'll be surprised at how many Americans still don't know who he is... You say "Schenker" They automatically assume you're meaning Rudolf.
5. Michael Schenker - UFO (70's era) Criminally overlooked back then and largely still ignored now.
6. If you're not looking to break the bank a set of Wilkinson WJBL 200's are great quality for the price (between £30 & £40) I do believe Epiphone have them installed on their new Vintage Pro Thunderbird.
7. 7 screw bridge is dubious to me. I reckon it's a Squier neck on a cheapo body.
8. Gotta be the tapered mate, I bought my Epi Classic Pro T-Bird back in 2012 and the Epi case for it at that time was rectangular.
9.
I never click any links on here because it seems to be an unresolved issue.
I didn't click on any links mate, I just searched for a threads to do with nut problems, found one, opened it, started reading and suddenly it was replaced, with a page with an automated voice saying something about security issues, I quickly closed it, as I could see by the circle icon on my screen that it was starting to load or run something else.
10. No molan, there's nowt dodgy in there I have one extension that being Adblock Plus. and I'm one for running frequent security checks.
11. Dunno if anyone else has experienced it on here, but the following link (Don't click it!) (removed) popped up and totally obliterated the page I was looking at which was. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/247536-fret-buzz-on-the-first-and-second-fret-nut-cut-too-high/page__p__2581597__hl__nut%20cut%20too%20deep__fromsearch__1#entry2581597 Luckily I got my browser closed before it disabled it.
12. If I were you I'd save up for the Yamaha, you'll get one for half of the price of what your Squier is worth. Also as soon as you let that beauty go, you'll be pining for it back. I was in a position where I had to sell an early JV (albeit with the Squier logo) back in 1990, I've not had a Precision that come close to it since.
13. Great drummer! I saw him with Y&T back in '83. I also recall they sacked him because he didn't have the "right" body image. Image before talent, an 80's legacy, which sadly is still rife today!
14. That little fill at 00:21 sounds like it might be A C E C D C A G A not 100% sure as tinnitus could be tricking me.
15. Do Anything You Wanna Do - Eddie and the Hot Rods. Mr. Jones - Counting Crows. Ghosts - Japan. Paradise Skies - Max Webster.
16. You need to go to specsavers mate, It say's Mosrite of Classics lol

Gone

My first bass was one of these, back in 1981, it was a great player too! It's only let down was the pup's were a bit weak, this one must be from around that same time, as I remember they had to change the headstock to a non-Fender design not long after I'd got mine.
18. Don't Give up hope ColinH! A mate of mine had an Ibanez Roadster (guitar) stolen at a gig in the mid 80's. He saw one uncannily like it for sale on ebay in 2012, also it was in our old hometown in the North-East. (he now lives near Glasgow) He contacted the seller, who trotted out a story of how he'd owned it since new, but had given up playing in the early 90's, and couldn't bear to part with it, and it had remained in it's case under the bed for the last 20 years. My mate asked him if he could tell him the serial number, so he could verify it's age. Bingo! Same serial number. He then asked if he could arrange a day to go and try it out, he went (receipt in pocket) Played the guitar for around 20 mins or so, put it back in it's case, picked it up, showed the guy the receipt as he told him that he was taking the guitar which was rightfully his back. I know this don't help you personally, but it proves things can turn up! I wish you all the luck in your search!
19. Very sad! I saw Motorhead twice, Newcastle Mayfair 1980 and Donington 1986. 1980 was devastatingly loud. The only time I could hear Fast Eddie was when he was playing a solo.
20. Nowt flash, but nice all the same! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Akbu9xfspiE
21. +1 to Norris and Slippery suggestions. Walk away, before they humiliate you in front of an entire audience, either that or you end up lamping one (or the lot) of them. I'm an ex native of North Yorkshire myself and I left a band in the '80's after witnessing the treatment metered out to our rhythm guitarist by the lead guitarist and singer. That started out disguised as "friendly banter" and in the end the lad nearly had a break down. It no good being in a band, no matter how good they are, if they're arseholes. Another thing, you'll also have the satisfaction of knowing they're stumped for getting their gear around.

Help!

Got the CV via Andertons. Set up is spot on though it has a slightly higher action than I'm used too. Gonna leave it as it is and get used to it.
