2. Vile!
 3. IMO having no headstock makes a bass look ugly, 9 times out of 10 it has an ugly body to match it's headlessness anyway.
 4. Great footage! Can't beat a bit of Gabriel era Genesis.
Sadly I never saw PG do Supper's Ready, but did see the Seconds Out tour when Mr Collins did a passable impression.
Very envious, would have loved to have seen them then, Steve Hackett was at his peak and his live sound was sublime!
 5.
I am so tempted to email him to ask if he can dress my frets and see what his reply is like. I bet even the simplest tech terms will confuse him. Or better still, make up my own tech terms and see if he understands what I am asking him.
Go for it!

 7.
he's probably completely raped the nut with a bastard file too, but still...
I don't think he has as he's not mentioned it, and we all know how proud he is of his "improvements"
 8.
Triads?
Evil little Chinese Gangster types
 9. Wot I find hilarious is how he always feels the need to be in the photo's.
 10. Aye, I noticed that, but unless those pics wern't kosher and it turns out to be a cheap Encore or the like, someone has got a real bargain at £119.
 11. He's only used an Allen Key, and a tin of paint! Still a good read though. 12.
Just managed to fit the Bass Doc red tort plate to my 'wreck' bass. So now it looks like this (see pics). Much better than the white guard it had before.
Looks great and kinda reminds me of my old school desk.
 13. Headstock again is the dead giveaway! Compare the curvature between the D and G string posts with a real Fender. Also the position of the String tree is wrong! There are a few screws missing! at least he's aware of his mental condition

 15. I think there's a clue in his description I've bought two excellently priced brand new Mighty Mite necks off of him in the past (both outside of eBay), he's a good bloke and his listings are always honest. I think there's a fair few more on BC who can vouch for him too.
 16.
Yep. Very good too. Had the guitarist who was in the Saints for a bit too if I remember correctly.
Aye that's right! Bruce Calloway and Mark Wilkinson. They had good solid bass players in Jim Dickson & Christian Houllemare too!
 17.
Still sounds fresh, fast and nasty.
Quality all the way Always thought Rob Younger sounds like a young Dave Vanian. Have you heard The New Christs?
 18. Well I got no reply from the bastard when I quizzed him about it, and no action was taken by Greed bay when I reported it last week! now some poor f****r has just unwittingly shelled out £275 for a piece of tool shed abused Chinese made sh*te.
 19. Had a few surreal times listening to these lads & lass back in the day. http://youtu.be/iiy5K81qvbg
 20. I agree! These tool shed sander jobbies are abominations. Though Fender did make a good job of the Rory Gallagher tribute Strat.
 21.
How very dare you! :-) Thought you might spot my comment was somewhat tongue in cheek. CB
I did mate, but I thought I'd just play you along a little hence the
 22.
We're actually talking about tight radii on the headstocks of copy basses! Stop the world - I want to get off! CB
It's not just the tight radius, it's the whole headstock shape! A dead give away that indicates that this is not the genuine article, CB you seem to be having some difficulty coping with the fact that some of us care? Tell you wot mate, I'd rather bring attention to it than possibly read a thread in a week or So, with a title along the lines of " Guys I Think I've Been Ripped Off" Just a thought, you're not the bloke selling it are yer?
 23. In the end it really doesn't matter wot Fender did and didn't do regarding skunk stripes, as it has no real bearing on the fact that the bass in my OP is well dodgy, and even if it did have a skunk stripe the fact remains that the headstock is NOT the right shape to be a 90's MIJ Squier, end of.
 24.
Ref stripe - I've no knowledge of what goes on with various copies. But back in the days of just Fender P's and J's, all the ones with rosewood boards were stripeless. CB
The bloke 2nd from bottom on here http://www.fender.com/community/forums/viewtopic.php?p=59965 seems to know the in's and out's on Fender's use of the skunk stripe.
 25.
You never know, the poor guy was probably told this bogus info when he bought the bass himself and took it for gospel being none the wiser. Happens all the time.
True it does, and this could sadly be a case of that! But I sent him a message stating my concerns but up to now have got no reply.
