1.
Have you reported it?
Aye
2. Every P bass I've owned (apart from my old Hondo II and my sadly long gone JV) have had a skunk stripe, whether they had a Maple or Rosewood board. I've had a few cheap Affinity's that have not had the stripe. This is the last of such, no back shot but you can see the Headstock is the same shape as the one in my OP.
3. Lack of skunk stripe and headstock shape. Only the JV's, some of the Affinity's and more recently the CV's don't have them. Also The headstock shape is more in keeping with an Affinity. See link below for a proper '90's MIJ Squier. 4. MIJ early 90's Squier my arse. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200814601881&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:GB:1123
5. That's a lovely bass mate! Not wanting to piss on your pyro's here, but that 'Badass' bridge is a Schaller 3D.
6. This!
7.
I know I've posted this before, just did a Google Image search for 1978 Fender P's and there it was...along with several potentially embarrasing pics of myself..
There you go, that's sorted it!
8. Lovely, lovely things. not to keen on the Hamer though.
9. Sounded great but they must get the award for ugliest stringed instruments.

"Fresher" guitar

Early 80's brand! They copied all the shapes Strat, Flying V, SG etc they were slated by all the guitarist I knew back then. Found this link http://www.vintagegu...sher-guitars-2/
11.
Still prefer to watch four chaps running about the stage
They'll still be able to with straps and locking buttons.
12.
Those scare stories are over-exaggerated I think. It will only break if you crank it like a maniac.
or if your name is Mark D Phillips
13. I totally concur with the title of this thread!
14. Forget tuning your Ibanez's, Jackson's, BC Rich's etc. A wall of Marshall's and four of these will do the job!
15.
Doesn't Pete Way use an Epiphone T Bird now?
He did for a while, though the last one I saw him with was the Tokai version.
16.
...and don't be drawn in by how they look on the Epiphone website either. It an identical image to the Gibson one with a Photoshopped headstock! Don't believe me? Identical down to the reflections on the knobs.
Well spotted matey! This pic seems to add a bit of clout to Epi's claim though.
17. Why not wait until next month when Epiphone launch the Classic Pro series with the Gibson pups? http://www.epiphone....sic-iv-pro.aspx

19.
..and I'm hovering like a fly waiting for the windshield on the freeway. Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (I forget exactly which song)
That'll be Fly on a Windshield
20. Best of the Pub Rock lot IMO.
21. Bands, those funny little plans, that never work quite right. (Holes by Mercury Rev) Compassion and emotion are our most important safety values, If we lose them, then ‘we lose’ the vitality of life itself. (This is The A.L.F. by Conflict)
22.
Well in their formative years they played many gigs at 'The Duke' in North Ferriby but I would agree not your typical pub rock band Good to see BBD get a mention on here. I am a big fan of Bill Nelson in general and BBD in particular. Love the bass work of the late, great Charlie Tumahai. At the forthcoming Bill Nelson fan convention along with a Bill Nelson solo set there will be a live performance from Bill and his Gentlemen Rocketeers playing many BBD and Red Noise numbers along with an improv set from Orchestra Futura with the truly brilliant Dave Sturt on bass.http://www.nelsonica.com/. The event is sold out but if you're in York on 29th September and you loiter around the bar in the Park Inn Hotel you will hear some awesome guitar playing.
Aye he's a top quality guitarist, wish I could be there, but sadly York is about 300 miles north of me these days. Dunno if you've heard this before, but it's a great cover from another great guitarist who you'd think was very unlikely to cover a BBD song. 23. I didn't think Be Bop Deluxe were part of the Pub Rock scene. Dr. Feelgood, Roger C Reale & Rue Morgue, Eddie and The Hot Rods, The Pirates yeah, but certainly not Bill and the boys!
24. The Ruts at The Paris Theatre, 1980. http://youtu.be/VFoGXPXNI-c
25.
Pete Way is an absolute f***ing legend. It's astonishing that he's still alive, given the lifestyle he's had since the 70s.
It's his 61st birthday today and I for one wish him many more!
