I refuse to wear a sweatband on the grounds that it's not 1985 and I don't play Heavy Metal.
And then there's simply not wanting to look like a complete onanist. * grabs coat, legs it.* .
 2.
Is that an E or K at the start of the serial number?
E
I have a nineties Jap Squier 'Silver Series' P bass... is it a JV?
No.
 3. Nice. Got a Sonic Blue one via various bods of this parish. These are the best basses they've made since the early eighties and, in my own humble..., they p*** all over most Custom Shop products. I'd have this at this price (bargain) but I'm just not ready with the readies.
 4.
Would be cool if BC got a stand or something though.
This
 5.
No mate. It's a Standard USA Jazz, but the previous owner put stacked knobs onto it for the '62 look.
Nice mod, that. Trade value...?
 6. What does 'frickin' mean....?

 8.
The story behind the bassline on that song is rather more complicated than you might think, and involves Paul Simon's birthday and running a tape backwards ...
How complicated is that?? Just askin'.
 9.
Annnnnything further on this? At the moment i dont have any scratchplate on my bass as Howard has my current one to take measurements from...
He's had three of mine since November.... hasn't even acknowledged receipt. That's not great form in my book.
 10.
Thinking about a black pickguard will set this thing right off!
Don't do it, man. That thing looks gorgeous as it is.
 11. Yes, that's my snorty way of agreeing with you.
 12.

Gawd, that does look thin, innit.
 13.
They sound (and look) good.
....making them look and sound nothing like the originals. Whether or not that's good or bad is in the ear of the beholder. For me it's a bad thing. Wanted one of these for years but this issue has put me right off. A good reissue might have sold me one each of these but alas I shan't be buying. Shame.

 19.
Sometimes telling someone to just * * * F U C K O F F * * * is the easiest way out.....
This.
 20. Nice find, Rick. Stunner, as you say!
 21.
Hello everyone.... Paul
Alreeeeet, Paul The Hat. You're in the right place here, lad. Cheers, Former Boltonian.
 22.
Not sure about these later ones, but both my JV's are definitely decals, just like the originals. FWIW, the logo looks scratched to me, the way it follows the 'S', looks intentional. Great bass though, I bet it plays lovely.
If you bubble the varnish off it takes the laser printing off the opposite way it was printed on. Believe me, I've seen it happen. It's a fag burn.
