1. Just bought this from Barry at The Bass Centre. Its a Bass Collection Jive Bass and it is obviously a copy of a Fender Jazz, made in Korea for the Bass Centre. Check out their website as these are very reasonably priced at £329 (some offered for £299 in sale). They come in several different colours to emulate old Fender types but this Burgundy Mist (called Purple Haze by Bass Centre) is my favourite. I tried out several standard Jive Basses at the unit in Bagshot where Barry Moorhouse is now based and they all played very well straight out of the box and are excellent quality and finish. Logo snobs may switch off now but you're missing a trick here. I've been a pro Bassist for 35 years and had all sorts of Basses from budget to high end but this is already knocking the spots off any Jazz Bass I've owned. This has had a beauty of a Babicz Bridge added which makes it even nicer, (they will fit one for you) adds sustain and depth plus looks the dogs danglies!. EMG pickups have been installed as a trial but I was more than happy with the standard fitment pups and also vintage knobs instead of chrome. I also swapped the standard mint green pickguard for a tort one. The neck is typical slim Jazz type and feels so comfortable in Satin finish. Matching headstock is a nice touch too as with the Power Bass (Precision style). Bass Centre also do higher end Artist series Basses for Norman Watt-Roy, Bruce Thomas, Bill Wyman, Jaco and Leo Lyons so check them out at www.basscentre.com .
2. sold outside BC, thanks.
3. Hi, I'm thinning out my current basses and this is a beauty. Its an early ESP 400 Precision Bass with added Jazz bar. It's been modified to stack pots too, Vol and treble for each pup. Bought off Fluffo earlier this year, it's still in great condition with a lovely deep cherry colour in the sunburst. Apart from a nick behind the neck and some superficial buckle rash on the back its very tidy. Beautiful figured maple neck with Tele headstock, dates it around mid 80's, weight 3.3kgs/7.2lbs so nice and light but feels and sounds very sweet. Comes in original ESP gig bag. I'll be sad to see it go but having recently acquired a 5 string and another P Bass this won't get used. I can package it in a guitar box to send it. Any questions please message me. Cheers. Fluffo's original listing: I bought this from Warwickhunt last year and I have been using it as my main bass most of this time. Since buying this I have had a Jazz bar fitted to the back and have changed the pick guard to a brass Fender 57 reissue one which fitted straight on with no alterations as around this time, ie 84 they were making parts for Fender anyway. You may remember this for sale on here when Warwickhunt bought it, but since then it's become a different animal I went down the road of an early Jazz Bass for the electrics, with two stacked pots with a volume and tone per pickup, If you have a volume pot turned off both tones will work the other pickup as I followed the old fender wiring diagram including the capacitor. As you can see from the photos the neck is more or less a birds eye maple and it plays great. I have always been a massive fan of the old ESP gear and knocks spots off a lot of the more recent makers. I have spent quite a lot of time and money getting this bass to where it is now. The bridge Jazz bar is a Kent Armstrong Vintage Hot Rail, I left the original p pickup in as they seemed to match up well.

5. I'd like a trade for a good Electro Acoustic 4 or 5 string Bass.
6. open for trades for basses, lightweight amps or cabs.
7. I've recently been using a Bass Collection Power Bass from The Bass Centre in Bagshot. Just wanted to let you know that if you're in the market for a reasonably priced quality instrument with a great punchy sound you won't go wrong with one of these. For under £300 these are a bargain, and I've had loads of Basses over the years, Fenders, Squiers, ESP's, etc and this compares very favourably. http://www.basscentre.com/bass-collection/bass-collection-power-bass-powder-white.html Check them out here. And Barry is a great guy to work with, very helpful.
8. Hi, its approx 20mm deep (from the fretboard to the radius of the 'C' shape). That's slightly deeper compared to my other basses which are about 18mm, hope that helps, cheers, Paddy.
