4. Do you want a cheap mutha of an all Valve bass head? I have a Bugera BVV3000 300 watt Valve Head, basically an Ampeg SVT clone, weighs an absolute ton but 300watt of 6 x 6550's plus 5 pre amp 12ax/au's. I bought it from Bugera (Music Group in UK) September last year as an 'as new' refurbished item with 3 year warranty. They only made a few of them generally and I'm guessing it was returned to base and resold with 3 years manufacturers warranty. As you can imagine, I was sceptical of these as being a Chinese Ampeg so basically soak tested it for a few days in my garage, running it for a few hours then going and trying it, putting back to standby and leaving for a while and repeating. No problems. So decided to try it out on a decent size gig which it did faultlessly, reminded me of my old Ampeg V4 days. Then I did another gig and again it was awesome. If you look them up, they caused quite a stir about 3 years ago when they came out and were selling around £450 mark. They have the 'Infinium' self biasing valve system for longer valve life, quite a neat thing, you can see the indicator lights flashing on the back as they tweak the valves. Only thing I'd say is that the 'voicing' selector makes minimal difference to my ears, you may think differently. I'd happily keep it if I wasn't buying an Ashdown CTM but don't want 2 heavy fellas knocking around. Something to bear in mind is it runs into 4 or 2 ohms. This is silly money for what you get but beware, it's heavier than most cabs!! I will not post this, too risky so it'll be collection from Poole or a meet up in a dodgy services on a dark night. Manufacturers blurb: Bugera BVV3000 Infinium Valve Bass Amp Head The BVV3000 is so much more than just raw power. The all-tube preamp provides tremendous tone-shaping control. Sure, you get the standard boost/cut capability from the BASS (centred at 40Hz) and TREBLE (4kHz) knobs, but the real "voice" of your bass is defined by its midrange content. BVV3000's 5 position FREQUENCY selector lets you choose the centre frequency that best suits your playing style, or the one that brings out your instruments true personality. Just select from 220Hz, 450Hz, 800Hz, 1.6kHz and 3.0kHz and turn the MIDRANGE knob to boost or cut by as much as 15dB and that's a lot! And if you want even more tone-sculpting options, engage the ULTRA-LOW switch for an additional +2dB boost @ 40Hz, or the ULTRA-HIGH switch for a soaring top-end boost of +9dB @ 8kHz. Balanced XLR DI for direct connection to your mixing console Slave Output to connect with additional amplifiers Preamp Out and Power Amp In connectors allow you a signal tap from the preamp section and a direct access to the power amp for even greater versatility 3 speaker outputs: two 1/4" jacks and a professional speaker connector (compatible with Neutrik Speakon) Impedance switch (2 and 4 Ωs) to match virtually any speaker cabinet High-quality components and exceptionally rugged construction ensure long life Bugera BVV3000 Infinium Valve Bass Amp Head Hand-built 300 Watt bass amplifier head driven by 6 x 6550 valves300 Vintage design from the '60s featuring 3 x 12AX7 and 2 x 12AU7 valves for harmonically rich and vibrant valve sound Revolutionary INFINIUM Valve Life Multiplier technology: Extends the life of your amplifier's expensive power valves up to 20 times Voicing selector provides you with 5 classic sound variations to suit your playing style Dedicated Bass, Mid and Treble controls and High/Low switches for ultimate sound shaping Pat bugera1

 9. I've just bought one off eBay from music group Europe advertised at £410. Factory refurbished sold as new with 3 year warranty. I was dubious like everyone else but I thought at the price I'd give it a go. Actually I made a best offer and got it cheaper. I guess it's been bought before and gone back for repair but it looks like new. Bought on Sunday, arrived yesterday (weds) and I've had it running all afternoon going back periodically after leaving it on standby to check it out. Absolutely no problems so far and it sounds awesome. Haven't had this much fun since having a V4 and 2x15 in the '80's. I'm running it into 2 8ohm cabs as the speaker outputs are selectable 2 or 4 ohms. Glad I pressed the button on this one because if it turns ok it's the bargain of the century. But I'll keep you posted. I'm gonna look for a 4 ohm 4x10 cab so I can use it more practically rather than humping 2 cabs around. Can't wait for a big gig to really crank it up.

 19.
Selling my Fender Precision Bass in rare Shell Pink, 1996 Anniversary model. Serial no: V006225. Great condition apart from a few small dings which have been touched up, see pics. Fitted with growly American Vintage pickups, plays and sounds great. The colour is not Salmon Pink, it's Shell Pink and is more fleshy coloured than bright pink. Will come with a hard case. Pickup preferred or meet up but could courier at cost. Not looking for trades. Thanks. Please be aware, this Bass is not the colour of my Profile pic, that was a different Bass. Shell Pink is not that bright, it's a more subdued Pink, like the Cadillac. Cheers Better pics added.
Selling my Fender Precision Bass in rare Shell Pink, 1996 Anniversary model. Serial no: V006225. 20. For sale, a beautiful '74 Jazz Bass with plenty of natural wear, not relic'd, sunburst, maple neck with block inlays, stamped neckplate with serial no 544786, cts pots stamped 7405. In the pic you can see the middle pot is a cts 7405, the neck volume pot has been badly resoldered obscuring the ident but you can tell its the identical same age pot. I replaced the tone pot as it stopped functioning and the original is included, with cap, stamped 7405. The neck pocket and neck have stamps as seen in pics. The pick ups are stamped 74 but the previous owner had them rewound professionally by Wizard pickups. Bridge cover is included which is pitted with age but no screws unfortunately. This bass feels, plays and sounds lovely and I've fitted new Elite Stadiums 40-100. I'll regret selling her but I've got a few more things on the wish list. Comes in a period type case. No trade offers please. Would prefer pick up from Poole/Bournemouth area or a meet up but could courier at cost.
