Wondering the same
-
Been thinking about going wireless lately. What's the latest on the right receiver that's reliable for bass?
-
Neck is one piece maple... Not sure if Flat or Quarter sawn.
-
Nut width is 46.mm and 17.5mm string spacing
-
You won't be disappointed. I'd never played one but took a punt... Certainly paid off.

Yes very nice. The Uni Pre is very cool and versatile with the mid sweep. Really like the reverse P + Soapbar combo. Reminds be of a PJ but with extra punch. The sets ups on the overwaters are incredible. I've never picked up a bass that's been remotely close. As soon as my first Overwater arrived I had my Warwick SSII up on marketplace the day after 😅

20-24 weeks taken with a pinch of salt 😁

My 2nd Overwater J5 Contemporary. I went for something different this time as oppose to standard j pups. Reverse P and Soapbar combo with a John East Uni Pre, Birdseye maple fretboard, 35 scale. I've only played through headphones so far but will be taking for a test run at tomorrow's gig. I wasn't sure about the colour but wanted something a bit more vibrant than my black/grey burst.

Just wondering how many others insure their equipment? I've got a couple of custom basses in my arsenal now which I want to look after. Any reputable companies out there? Thanks

I went 3 times to an audiologist for my UE6s and every time they were rejected as they weren't quite right. I ended up biting the bullet and driving to IEM Company in Hertfordshire to get them sorted. Perfect fit from the start.

@EBS_freak Hope you don't mind but I'm looking for advice for our Vocalist who's now transitioning to IEM. She definitely wants to be wireless and I'm looking for a decent transmitter... They use Shure GLXD Wireless Mics and I've seen that they do a similar model for IEM. Would this be a good choice?

@EBS_freak Just wondered your thoughts are on Empire ears? Some of our band have been recommended these... https://www.selfridges.com/GB/en/cat/empire-ears-bravado-ii-in-ear-monitors_R03772405/ They're universal so I wondered if something like the UE5s / UE7s would be better for vocalists?

Thanks I can use a spare amp. Would there be any loss in sound quality doing it this way?
-
Long story short my Behringer Powerplay headphone jack is broken and I'm wondering if I can use the line out left/right with an adaptor cable? See photos attached... Thanks

I think you're right and our current rig sounds great (732as + 8003 AS Sub) however as I've said we're now facing a transport issue which means we'll only be able to take tops with us...So either RCF 735s/745s or the new 935s/945's to put the whole band through.
-
Anyone know if there's a big jump between the 735s and 745s?
-
I think for us we'll struggle to transport even the evox 12s. I think it will be either 935s or a pair of 745s without subs which seem to pop up from time to time.
-
The Evox 12 looks lovely. Pricey though!

My wedding band are all electronic now with iem & electric kit...no backline. We're currently using 2 x RCF 732a tops and 1 x RCF 8003 II sub. Unfortunately transport is getting tight and we need to ditch the sub and run everything through the tops. Been looking at the new RCF 935's. Think that would be decent for weddings/functions as stand alones? Thanks

Translucent Sonic Blue w/ tort & Chrome vs Translucent Red w/ white, black/gold I'm leaning towards the blue finish as I think it's more unique. Or is that red just too good?! Going to be gloss finish with birdseye-maple and dots + matching headstock

Now decided to go for some PJ pickups in my 5 string order In terms of tone I'm not keen on anything too bright or harsh but solid lowend/mids with plenty of punch - modern as oppose to vintage (hopefully that makes sense). Although subjective I'll want something that can do a decent Slap tone too. I'll have a pre. Probably either an East or Bartolini. Been looking at Bart, Delano, Aguilar, Linda Fralin pickups but never owned a PJ so any advice welcomed. Thanks 😃

Thanks. Any pups you'd recommend with them or are they a good all rounder?
