1. Looking good so far! This is the timetable for the meetups at the BC corner - but do feel free to chase me around when I'm not there
2. First time there for the band, and they're planning to raise the roof!
3. Quo-Caine, IIRC. They play in the South East but so far I haven't been able to see them, as every time has clashed with a Junkyard Dogs gig or some other event I was booked for. One day... Let us know where you guys play, post your dates in the Gigs forum
4. Oh, I like that Thanks for adding your band! If you tour down south we'll try to catch you. BC's Colin "Hamster" plays in a Quo tribute band too, so you're part of an elite
5. That is one hell of a departure from our usual threads in this subforum! And playing in front of such a huge crowd...! Love it Keep us all posted
6. I'm getting the impression that lefty models are - as many other "luxury" items or items with less of a mass appeal - becoming victims of the financial crisis. Unlike in the past, manufacturers now seem totally reluctant to commit to producing them, and only act upon insistent demand, if at all.
7. Bump. If you don't get any replies I'll tweet your question.
8. Let me know if you don't find anyone suitable, and I can tweet this to our followers.
9. Yup! Stand C1A in the main hall, shared with Bass Gear. You won't fail to notice us
10. Bump! I'll give this and the thread started for those coming to the show from the north a tweet or two tomorrow.
11. Check out the thread for those who are coming from the north - assuming you're still in Brum? If not, Lozz is getting people to form a group for a discount ticket.
12. Bump for this post - if you don't get any reply I'll tweet this later.
13. Fantastic thread for a Sabbath fan. Thanks, all
14. Make sure to choose an electric with a DB-like bridge, fingerboard and general setup. For instance, I love my NS NXT 5, but I don't think of it as an electric DB at all - it sounds like a fretless electric and you can't use the DB plucking style on it due to the shape and size of the neck and bridge. You can, however, bow it all right. Portability and the huge saving in size in any electric upright are a fantastic bonus, though.
15. Good stuff And I have begun collecting my lefty resources, as mentioned in one of my posts above, here: http://leftybassgirl.wordpress.com/.
16. Fantastic We and Bass Gear are planning a couple of nice surprises for Basschaters who attend the LBGS. Stay tuned for an announcement soon!
17. I tried Fender flats and hated them. Far too high tension - never again.
18. First gig at the Fox in Twickenham http://www.flickr.com/photos/bluejay_my_photos/12431726875/in/set-72157640769015185
19. I'm soo looking forward to the photos and writeup now!
