1. Brilliant! Thanks for adding your band here - keep us posted with photos of your future gigs too
2. So what do people eat and drink in the rugged north...?
3. Great stuff! Will tweet it again in a moment. Incidentally, any writeup/blog/photos would obviously be duly attributed to their respective authors, not to me! Goes without saying
4. Very happy to give "web shelter" to Basschat's photoblog, now that this site's own blog has disappeared - I've got a few other Bashes covered in my Wordpress account. But I won't be able to attend the bash, so a draft of any writeup, as well as the photos, will have to be provided by one of you guys who actually will attend Keep me posted!
5. Welcome to the Events subforum, ML! Bit too far for me to attend, but I'd love to see photos and/or vids if you get any. Feel free to post them in my other home forum, Gigs > Live photos & videos Hope you have a big audience and a great gig
6. Bloggy entry here, if you're curious: http://wp.me/p2ZbyY-cT
7. Hold it, guys - this is a new user. They have been informed of the correct procedure.
8. Edit: sorry just read that small paragraph you point to (which wasn't there until a few days ago). In that case, I guess we'll have to get tickets, or they'll realise how idiotic that system is, and cancel it at the last moment again... [s]That was how they organised it two years ago and, initially, last year. Then, when I got there, I was told they were no longer handing out tickets and we only needed to queue in front of the auditorium (or masterclass room). I haven't heard anything regarding masterclass tickets this year. If you check the list of masterclasses/mini shows on their website, their blurb will invite you to "get tickets", but only link to the page selling the normal LBGS tickets, not tickets for the masterclasses.[/s]
9. Also, performances and masterclasses are free as far as I know. They only had a paid show once (Steve Vai, IIRC) but that year the show was, to be honest, a bit crap and badly organised, and I'm happy they abandoned the idea.
10. Last year they abandoned the idea at the last moment - you only needed to queue for the artist you wanted to see. This year might well be the same.
11. Nick - cameras are fine (I'll be wielding one all the time!). Tickets info here: http://www.londonbas...it/buy-tickets/ For a group discount, join Lozz's bunch here: http://basschat.co.u...ss-guitar-show/ Looking forward to seeing as many of you as humanly possible
12. Excellent! Tweeted. I'll tweet again periodically. Take lots of photos of the event and show 'em to us!
13. Take her to the show and us girls will convert her
14. Only hope is to get a weekend ticket, as I did in - erm - August 2013. No point in deluding myself! So I would have been at the show even if I wasn't running the BC corner
15. Anyone planning to take the Baton to the LBGS this year too? I wouldn't be able to look after it, but I could take photos of it with BC members and any celeb who might get hijacked for the purpose
16. Once again, if the BC Baton could be taken to the LBGS there might be some BC Relay photo opportunities, as well as handover opportunities. (But please don't ask me to take care of it as I'll be far too busy for that, I'm afraid.)
17. Can't help, I'm afraid, but I would suggest posting the question in General Discussion too, for increased visibility. Good luck
18. Slightly off topic, but to clarify, since it's been mentioned: dunno about the real McCoy, but I have a Fortress Rockbass 5 and it's active.
19. Before he made it big in the 80s, Nik Kershaw used to be a heavy metal musician and I still respect him for that! And his pop tunes weren't bad at all, to be honest.
20. Blues night with three performers in a great community pub downstairs from the small but renowned theatre. I'll be taking photos and writing a blog entry about the night. 21. The guys at the LBGS are kindly helping by retweeting my tweets about this thread! I'll tweet reminders periodically throughout the next month.
22. Keep bumping this thread, guys - I'm going to tweet it too throughout February.
