1. I'll make sure not to spend all of my time in the BC corner - we'll probably have timeslots like last year - and instead also walk round to say hi to all you guys working or performing at other stands. All hail the Brotherhood of Bass
2. Good to hear that at least some of the lefty stuff is moving. Well done guys, now I hope someone falls in love with the more expensive models for sale in the other Lefty for Sale threads
3. I am a member of a FB group for pub and function bands, and one fellow member is looking for a bassist. Here is his ad - if you're interested, reply or PM me and I'll put you in touch. Thanks
Mark Townsend Looking for a bass player, capable of playing some Funk, RnB & soul - not expecting Mark King but a good solid player with a good groove, good equipment and transport, gigs waiting, Eastbourne and surrounding areas, Cheers Mark
4. First Dogs gig of 2014 at the George IV, Chiswick: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bluejay_my_photos/12030191865/in/set-72157639923752176

6. Well the intro to this section does say "Bassists looking for HOT ACTION near you!"
7. The Dogs' 2014 World Tour starts on their Chiswick doorstep this Friday - The George, 9pm. Come along if you're around!
8. Master of Tardis The Number of the Tardis Welcome to the Tardis....
9. Getting better and better, Andy. Fantastic
10. Thank you guys, I really appreciate your compliments, but I'd rather pass on this, really.
11. Believe it or not, some of us never planned to play live, be it Donington, our local or a jam session in a friend's living room, when we picked up a bass for the first time. Some of us love working out basslines by ear - while at the same time discovering and analysing the structure of the song, and opening it like a little box of fascinating tricks. Once we've done that, we play along to it until we get it right/can't get it wrong, then punch the air and go "Yess!". Repeat ad infinitum, or for as long as fingers and ears keep functioning
12. Excellent! I hope I'm wrong and there is no age limit in his mind, and that that's a cool project. Keep us posted, Sarah PS, no you're not non-photogenic.
13. Nah, I'm not a DB player after all - never had the honour of meeting a lefty DB so far. And the guy's probably looking for a photogenic 20-something anyway.
14. A female double bass player for a photography assignment? To be a model, to be a photographer, or to be portrayed while playing? Would be curious but can't apply, as i'm upright-rich but double-bass poor...
15. I have "unapproved" the post with the wrong date, and a Global Mod will delete it - that way, you'll get any replies on to this thread only
16. This is another awesome thread. All the best, Shell, and of course your rhythm section will Raawwk Onn!! \m/ \m/
17. That. Is. Awesome. Great to hear you're back into live music, and props to your wife, who is clearly your soulmate. Keep us posted
18. Excellent! I'm still watching this, and I'm ready to tweet the project when you start it
19. Bloggy entry about the Jools-style night at the Tabard mentioned a couple of posts above: http://wp.me/p2ZbyY-bK
20. That's one cool photo! Great stuff - yes, let's have more, please
