  1. Now following this thread, and will add the event to all calendars in due course.
  2. Interesting. However, they clearly can't afford a copyeditor or a proofreader. HAHAHAHA!!!!! Sorry.
  3. I've logged out and logged in again on the Galaxy, and still no weird stuff happening, all looks normal. 🤔
  4. I've just visited Basschat from my Galaxy S5 and that doesn't happen to me, nor has it happened in the past. (I'm always logged in on my phone, so I didn't have to enter my details.) Even if that weird redirect is only on one site, it looks to me like something that has to do with your phone or browser rather than BC. Anyone else?
  5. Thank you all! Just back from gig no. 3, and rather knackered! Normal service to be resumed asap.
  6. Thanks Mick! 3-gig weekend with three of @Happy Jack's bands, plus lots of admin and PR. Busy, but fun. Hope you are having a great weekend yourself!
  7. Oh dear, if we do that I'll have nightmares for the next couple of nights! 😄
  8. I guess you could set up so you see all three on one single page (although a crowded one) on the paid-for app. We haven't attempted any customisation yet - something to do soon. The fun is still to come...
  9. It's certainly a marked improvement on having to shout at @Happy Jack to ask him to turn things up or down on the desk behind him, while he's on stage trying to play bass...
  10. After a bit of research I finally bought a set of Beyerdynamic DT 240 Pro headphones. They are not one of the models recommended in this thread, but they are more affordable than those, and so far seem to be exactly what I need. I can hear the bass clearly when I'm transcribing a song, and they respond well to changes in the EQ when I fiddle with the settings in the MAXXAudio Pro program on the PC. (Yes, I know, that program isn't everybody's cuppa, but it comes installed on the PC and works well for my limited needs.) The pros of the headset are: smaller than the PJBs I used to have, so more manageable for a petite person like me; they have two inputs for the cable, one on each earpad, so if one goes noisy or fails, you have a second option; they are tighter than bigger models, so they don't fall off my little head when I stand up to play bass... 😉 So far I've found only one con: the cable they come with is too short, despite having a curly section that you can stretch if necessary. I have ordered a 3m cable with standard 3.5mm to 2.5mm male inputs, and hopefully that will solve the issue.
  11. Quick update: we're doing well with the Behringer XR18, but we decided to upgrade the app to the Pro version after noticing a couple of glitches. In our case, some settings weren't being updated on the tablet after being changed on the computer (despite the wireless connection being fine), and channels occasionally muted or unmuted themselves without me touching the relevant button. The pro app is not free, but is, we understand, very customisable - we need to explore that, because things would be a lot easier if I could have all the sliders and controls used by each band on one single page - and save each band's setup separately - as opposed to having to switch between two or even three pages for each band. To Be Continued...
  12. Oh, I see, you're gassing on behalf of others. 'It's all right, honest, it's not for me, it's for a friend!' 😉😎
  13. Except, what would you do with just the cymbals? You'd need to get stands for them, and then GAS for the rest of the kit. Just sayin'...
  14. I think it stops FB/Twitter etc. following you when you click on a link in a post/tweet/etc., as well as blocking all clickable FB/Twitter etc. images or links on pages if they try to obtain access to your own social account info. Or something... 😉
  15. This is one of the pages I see when I click on the sprocket icon (Settings) in Adblock. I think the filter in question is the Social Blocking one.
  16. No, up to date version of FF on up to date version of Win 10. The disappearance was probably due to having the Social Blocking filter activated, among others.
  17. If that barrage of popup ads comes back to this site, I'll do without the Share icon and go back to Adblock! 😛
  18. Hmmm... weird. I used to have the share icon before the recent update. I'm on Firefox on Win 10 as usual. I'll try Edge, which I hate and never use anyway. I'll also try disabling Adblock on FF and see if either works.
  19. And this. The options at the bottom don't list Share.
