  1. I think this thread will get more attention if I move it to GD, where it seems to belong.
  2. Got this thread on BC Twitter earlier today. I'll try BC Facebook now if it hasn't been shared already. Good luck.
  3. I had missed this thread! 😮 I've now tweeted it to BC's followers. Good luck.
  4. Oh, she does want the attention. But I think she doesn't deserve any.
  5. LOL, point taken. But I hope this thread won't continue to feature videos of 'cleavages' or 'legs' playing bass or guitar - you know, not for us to ogle, oh no, just to show what poor musicians the women in question are, but LOOK AT THEIR ASSETS, they'll get a lot of views, WON'T THEY? 😉
  6. I'm bored to death of this topic and this thread, and yet it keeps coming back like the proverbial. I wonder if we can lock threads because they're pointless and irritating?
  7. The thread you started earlier has been moved to Off Topic. Edit: HERE, to be precise.
  8. I have been told there will be an official announcement once the team is back from NAMM.
  9. I've moved this thread from General Discussion to Bassists Wanted. Good luck.
  10. Or indeed because I was a copy-editor for most of my working life... 😉😎
  11. Sorry, can't resist... SOILED state amps... snigger!
  12. LOL I did that for heavy metal guitarist ex-partner. Sort-of-fun, but only the first time.
  13. No prob - "that" article wasn't written - or researched - by me anyway.
  14. @spectoremg and others who are bored: while I do sympathise, I wonder why you are still reading/posting on the thread? To many of us it's all a bit of fun, even the serious replies, but YMMV.
  15. Only marginally more futile than talking about the alleged difference in sound between rosewood and maple fingerboards, or other debates taking place on this forum.
  16. If you use a headstock tuner you do need to be able to reverse the display for a lefty bass! 😄 (Most can do that.) Don't ask me how i know... 😉
  17. B (or E) to G for bass guitars (while they're hanging from my neck). Before tuning, I pull each string once. For double bass/uprights I pull each string once before tuning, check the bridge is straight, then tune B (or E) to G and then back, G to B (or E), because the tuning never seems to stabilise with just one pass. My basses live in my room, a warm loft with near-constant temperature of about 23 degrees*. *Sits and waits for comments about heating bills and suggestions to move to the Med.
