  1. There seems to be no way to delete attachments that are already there. I have an old version of the SEBB PDF that needs to go to avoid confusion.
  2. New, amended version of the day's schedule below. See you all there! South East Bass Bash 2018.pdf
  3. I've just added a mention of this test to the South East Bass Bash schedule below. I'll be recording! South East Bass Bash 2018.pdf
  4. That's fine, as long as it doesn't dilute the audience for the other events, i.e. it doesn't happen at the same time - I have to be there to record. (At the very worst I can leave a recording device in the room if I can't be there, but I'd rather do it properly if possible.) I'll mention the test in the final version of the Schedule document to follow here.
  5. Would you mind adding yourself or repeating your entry in a post so I can add it?

  8. Let me know if I should add you to the list (or you can add yourself once you know whether you're going to attend).
  9. If the organisers set aside a time slot for this, I can re-do the timetable PDF and include this new test.
  10. Great to meet you too, Don! Thanks for coming to see the band and having a chat about bass playing, bass guitars and gear, in classic Basschat style. For being such a small pub, the setup and gig were rather exhausting. I'm downloading the video footage as we speak.
  11. No, it's because writers have individual styles which can interfere with clarity and make comparisons difficult. If we were allowed to wax lyrical exclusively about what's important to us, use up our entire word allowance for that, and omit other information, despite the fact that such info would be equally important to many of our readers, then our reviews would be of no use whatsoever.
  12. He hasn't yet tried! A re-string is needed first! 😮
  13. I think that's a good idea. The use of templates is normal, for instance, all writers follow one when reviewing gear for BGM, so that reviews by any writer mention all relevant points in a standard order, and give the same amount of information, for comparison purposes. @ped, @charic - is something like the above doable?
  14. Forget the iPad - I'm going to have all kinds of video and audio recording equipment, possibly all in operation at the same time!
  15. until
Doveridge Village Hall (Sand Lane, Doveridge, DE6 5JQ)
  16. until
Jubilee High School, School Lane, Addlestone, Surrey KT15 1TE
  17. Bump, and another opportunity to download the timetable. South East Bass Bash 2018.pdf
  18. I prefer to keep an eye on BGM on Facebook, as the page is managed by editor Joel McIver and it's up to the minute, unlike the website.
  19. Believe it or not, I was at both of these gigs at The White Bear. I've been the band's only audience before, but this time was the most memorable. The evening with the travellers was downright scary, although they were nice to me, and tried to make me slightly more at ease, seeing I was sitting in a corner, silent and motionless, after packing and hiding my camera gear... 😮
  20. The first passaround could happen (at no expense) at the SE bash, if two interested parties could meet there. We'll record as much of the bash as possible both on video and on audio-only; the latter for the benefit of the BC podcast, in case the guys decide to use snippets in a future episode.
  21. Oh, go on then. My first fiver - still love it. 😎
  22. I'm afraid we can't get the bass to the bash ourselves on the day, for logistical reasons. Ideally, someone who's attending the bash would have the bass and we'd record him/her - and any other takers - play it and review it.
  23. Marco, if you could stretch to a visit to the South East Bass Bash in Addlestone to start the pass-around of your basses, we could make sure to film some of us actually playing and reviewing your basses. (Edit: we could also interview you!) Then they could continue their travels across the country. Failing that, can one of the first pass-arounds hit the bash with one of our attendees?
