  1. And yes, pics *will* follow. We're well and truly scratching our heads on this.
  2. Mine's just over 12 years old, an entry-level student bass, and still pristine. I will never get rid of it! The headstock reads 'Cruiser by Crafter'.
  3. Yup, 'cos ironing board makers believe people who iron are a. usually female, and b. devoid of any taste... Haven't found a decent ironing board cover in the correct size for mine...
  4. No prob - I've also Facebooked it, both as Basschat.
  5. I imagine the LEDs will decrease in brightness progressively as the battery's charge diminishes.
  6. Tweeted. Hope you recover it.
  7. *walks around the Happy Jack-Bluejay household, looking at the ceilings, and whistles* Nice light fittings we have here...
  8. What a pity, Si! We'll miss you. @Hamster, @silverfoxnik, any update on talks/events etc. for the bash?
  9. Last Saturday, 28th July, the band was back at the Victoria Club in Aylesbury. Both the crowd and the band had a great time.
  10. June 2018 marked a return to the Barley Mow in Shepperton: And our first gig at the Red Lion in Leighton Buzzard, small pub with a very enthusiastic, music-loving crowd (all of them out of shot, I'm afraid). Rick had sprained his ankle and had to play and sing sitting down.
  11. One vid from the Goat in Berkhamstead, still from May 2018. We were forbidden from taking footage of the happily dancing crowd, for some mysterious reason.
  12. A couple of videos from the Dogs' long-awaited return to the George IV in Chiswick in May 2018:
  13. May 2018 at the Walton Working Men's Club: At the Misty Moon in Northwood: And the usual madness at the White Hart in Hemel, where we once again remained hostages of the crowd long after the gig ended - we couldn't get off stage, let alone start breaking down and loading out...
  14. April 2018 at the Crown in Cowley: At the Victoria Club in Aylesbury:
  15. Time to bring this thread up to date with a few more photos and some footage. Still in March 2018, at the Barley Mow in Shepperton: And at the tiny Red Lion in Little Missenden:
  16. Nice shirts and hats are more his thing! 😎
  17. It looks so small next to him!
  18. LOL no lottery, just hard earned cash, and yes, have you seen that aluminium DB?
  19. Oh, there's a lot of choice when it comes to 'thin' uprights. I also have a cheapo Harley Benton and an NS Design NXT 5-stringer. The Eminence had been a GAS of mine for a while, just because it's more of a small double bass than an electric upright, and they build lefty models. The BSX looks good - do they do lefties? Their Q&A page doesn't say.
  20. I had no idea I was talking the truth in my reply! See here. 😮 😎 😍
  21. I kept looking at the case and asking him if he'd bought two small cabs and put them on top of each other! I had no idea you could order Eminence basses with a detachable neck. 😮 🙃
