Sounds like it was an awesome event. Always good to hear that our fellow, but big name, players are nice blokes too. I knew Mr Redick was going as he announced it on Planet Rock during the week; a Spector player no less. Hopefully I can make the next one. Bring on the blog!
-

Absolutely fantastic day! I've got an inordinate amount of footage and photos to sift through, but in the meantime, congratulations Pav (NancyJohnson) - here with Alex and the cab's certificate of authenticity. -
Depends what bash you're talking about. All of my blogs of the events are here: https://bassclef141.wordpress.com/
Is there any call for an upright bass tomorrow - I can't see one on the list here and can bring a Bryant Soloist along if anyone wants?
Uprights always welcome! If it's not too much trouble, please do bring yours. -
I still have to see my first plastic banknote...

It's a lits of "stuff" that will happen at the bash, plus the address and a link to how to find the place where it's held.

I've created a summary document along the lines of the ones we use for the other bashes. Downloadable and shareable here: https://goo.gl/ECCGWj Let me know if it doesn't work. (Roger has been able to open and download it without problems, but your devices may vary...) See you all there!

I've now also uploaded to my Public Dropbox. This is the unshortened link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/90710763/South%20East%20Bass%20Bash%20No%2010.pdf -

Apologies for that - I was trying to avoid using Dropbox which no longer allows shortening of links, but looks like Google is just as bad if not worse. Last attempt on Google drive, if not I'll upload it on here. https://drive.google...dkxlOXZyVnRQN0k You should be given the option to download. Let me know if it doesn't work. -

I've created the customary document with the timetable and other useful info. Download it here: https://goo.gl/um0O69 -
Here we go again with the sexist assumptions... I'm still of the opinion that a bassist whose other half is constantly complaining about instruments and gear around the house has hooked up with the wrong partner. (Yes that sentence is carefully non-gendered because it really doesn't matter which half of the couple does the complaining.)

I've posted on both Basschat's Twitter and Facebook. Good luck to the band, hope they get their gear back.

Have you got a link, for instance to FB etc.? It would make it easier for me to share this thread on our Twitter account.

While a fixed, unmanned camera such as the Zoom is absolutely fine for showing the band and its audience from one single point of view, if available we tend to prefer a zoomable camera with a built-in stereo microphone (and me behind it), to make things a little more interesting. All totally amateurish, but fun. The Junkyard Dogs have both kinds of videos - plus a few professionally edited showreels. The following is one example of the zoomable camera from another band's repertoire:
