1. Please simply edit the body of your message and state the correct price at the top of your message, so it appears immediately after the wrong price. The system doesn't allow for amending the original price, I'm afraid. Thanks and good luck with the sale!
2. I'll have a word with the mod team and see if we can help.
3. It now reads correctly... and it's still a lovely bass.

5. I've posted on both Basschat's Twitter and Facebook. Good luck to the band, hope they get their gear back.
6. Have you got a link, for instance to FB etc.? It would make it easier for me to share this thread on our Twitter account.
7. While a fixed, unmanned camera such as the Zoom is absolutely fine for showing the band and its audience from one single point of view, if available we tend to prefer a zoomable camera with a built-in stereo microphone (and me behind it), to make things a little more interesting. All totally amateurish, but fun. The Junkyard Dogs have both kinds of videos - plus a few professionally edited showreels. The following is one example of the zoomable camera from another band's repertoire:
8.
That's just showing off
There are a couple more...
9. They are closing the shop but the business continues online.

11. That's great, Nik, thank you. I'll create the usual downloadable info sheet as soon as we have the final schedule.
12. It works!! Jack, you should start an NBD thread with this bass and its "interesting' story.
13. Yup! Thank you all, guys - awesome community, as always,
14. Dave, many thanks for the offer, but hopefully I'll be OK, as this is trivial. I have soldered pot wires before, but it was on very different models and setups.
15. Ha! Excellent, thanks. Now you have pointed it out to me, I see there is some residual solder there too. Off I go Much obliged, MRN.
16. This Chinese-made P-bass copy has had a traumatic few days while being flown around Europe on its way to London. We disassembled and put body and neck into two suitcases which got lost in transit, then finally reached us on Sunday. I have re-built the bass with no problem, but it now makes no sound. Removal of the scratchplate has revealed what looks like a detached wire starting from the jack socket. My problem, as a non Precision player, is that I can't seem to fathom where the wire should be re-soldered. Given the short length of the wire, I imagine it needs to go in/on one of the three eyelets on the pot with the capacitor. But which eyelet? There is some solder on the left eyelet, but it seems to be there to hold the capacitor, not as a residue of a failed connection. So maybe the middle eyelet? Or even the currently clean one on the right? Can any of you experts help? Since this isn't an original Fender, the wiring diagrams I have found online look a bit different. Thanks in advance Edit: I've checked again, and the free wire is actually longer than I thought! Maybe it's actually the volume pot that needs to connect to it?
17. Post-holiday gig for the Dogs, first time at the Railway in Greenford, on a veeery hot night! http://flic.kr/s/aHskCK4oXQ

20. Some basses have the neck set deeper into the body than others. If 34 inch feels fine, you shouldn't have too many problems in finding another bass to your liking, as it's the most common scale. Best to have a play on each model before buying, though.
21. 34 inch is long scale; you could try short scale (usually 32 inch but sometimes less). Both Spector and Warwick will probably offer short scale versions of some of their models, although the choice will be limited.
22. The modern version is made by Warwick and is still called Triumph (or Triumph Lite in the cheaper Rockbass line). The old and new versions do look very similar!
23. You've probably filled your allocated space for uploading on Basschat. I would recommend uploading the photos to flickr or similar and linking to them in your post, as opposed to uploading directly into your post.
24. That's absolutely awesome of you. I hope you'll find the right person!
