Mick, for best results I'd need an image of slightly better quality for the Facebook event on Basschat's page - the resolution of this one is pretty low. I'll create the FB event in a week or two.

It looks absolutely fine to me, actually! He just grabbed any old strap and put it on the bass quickly just to show me, he didn't spend time adjusting it for the occasion.

My pleasure! I love meeting Basschatters at the LBGS. EZ, there were even MORE double basses than those - this is the other side of the room:

LOL some of them were taken early in the morning when visitors were not yet allowed in. I've got lots of crowded shots which do not appear here as they don't show the stands.

Forgot to add this - fellow Warwick lover, and fellow grumpy old person, I forgot your name! Please enlighten me!

OK I think is the last mixed batch before they all - and more - end up on my blog. Apologies again for my absence. I'm starting to upload a bit of stuff on FB and on here. Here are some shots, caption-free for the moment as I'm a bit in a hurry. (Note the typo in the stand's name)

1. There were almost twice as many exhibitors this year than last year. We counted the lists on the last two shows brochures. 2. A huge trade show would by definition exclude 'normal' people and only allow companies there. Is that what the majority of us wants? 3. Disappointed by the number of exhibitors? Make the show more attractive to companies by bringing your credit card and [b]buying[/b] stuff. Most exhibitors had special show prices for all their goods. --- Apologies for my low profile and the lack of pictures. I have a very pressing deadline for a couple of articles in BGM and I am travelling. Normal service will be resumed soon.

We won't have a Basschat corner this year, but there will be plenty of Basschatters at the show, both among the visitors and the exhibitors, so it's a matter of doing a bit of spot-the-BC-lanyard and saying hi to the wearer when you see one.
