Less-than-top-end basses and rigs will probably need the mids turned up a bit if you use the low B a lot. Also, with 34" scale and low-tension flats such as Chromes, you will need to adjust the action so that the low B doesn't buzz. Having an adjustable nut helps a lot in this case, as you can intervene on the low B and leave the other strings alone.

Believe it or not, the volume was fine (as expected!), but we had to adjust the mids upwards in order to allow the bass to cut through when the band was playing. Probably due to the shape of the room.

Oh, what a pity - I'll get back into advertising the Dogs' gigs on here too, if there are people in the area who might like to pop down to see the band.

Last night at the Admiral Nelson in Twickenham Happy Jack's bass rig went slightly over the top.

Not at the bash, but many of us have acquired one in the past and wear it whenever possible.

Welcome to Basschat! On this forum there are several of us slightly-older-women-with-a-bass - or indeed with [i]several [/i]basses, wait until the GAS gets you! The South East Bash is the largest of our bashes, so you can usually expect a minimum of 35-40 people, and often many more. It's not primarily geared towards sales - although you can buy and sell stuff - so you can just be there with a couple of basses and show those off to us

I will look out for you Chowny guys at the LBGS 2016, and hopefully see you (as well as Sean!) at the SE bash

Photos and any other additional info to the above would be very useful, so I can tweet this thread later. Good luck in recovering the bass.
