Has anybody had the opposite of the Wait? As in, you receive the longed-for 'out for delivery today' email or text [b]after[/b] the item has been delivered? Happened to me twice relatively recently: once with some accessories we ordered from Thomann (shipped through DHL/Parcelforce) and once from an online printing company (shipped via their own courier). In both cases, the parcel had arrived the previous day!

Disco-era Bee Gees seem to be among musicians' favourite hard-rock-ification targets. Dweezil Zappa's Staying Alive comes to mind, and NYC band Tragedy, who I dragged a bemused Happy Jack to see play live at the Camden Underworld a couple of years ago. They were great.

I remember (and still like hearing their songs on the radio) most of the bands you guys have mentioned, I agree that it was a good time to listen to bass in pop and pop-rock, which in a sense compensated for bass usually being a poor second to guitar in the metal scene (with the obvious exceptions of mostly Steve Harris and Geezer Butler). It was great to be in your late teens or early twenties in the 80s.
