My first bass was a Marlin Sidewinder. My first decent bass was a 1977 P bass in natural bought early 90s for £200 it was a bit hacked about but the sound was there.

i had a couple of these back in the day,i remember the neck plate print and the larger 70s style machine heads used one as my main bass for quite some time was a great bass although both the ones i had were rosewood fingerboards i saw that as im in Kent its on my watchlist but i wont bid have to many p basses.

i had the maida vale which was nice enough,but for me the tonerider is a great pickup for the money i have one in my old Fernandes and when i plugged it in the other day after a while of not using it,i had forgotten how nice and punchy it is.

I have one its a really nice bass,Bartolini pickups/electronics,hipshot bridge and schaller tuners with a wenge fret board and flame maple top. It plays really nice i have never had to touch the setup.

Its on mine under the MTV listings, i only got iparamount to watch it live and couldnt find it on the day and watched it on youtube live via MTV in the end.

Thats bad,how can they send that out as a new bass.

i saw that ad as its not far from me,the body may not be original as someone has cut a big access panel in front of it,and it has a square neckplate with a serial starting with 3 on it. i thought the neck looked original but with the neckplate having a different serial and not knowing what happened with the body it looks like a bit of a mashup.

i have used fine wire wool on a few of my bass necks and it does the job without removing much finish.

If it has the tug bar and dot inlays should be the short scale EB3 epiphone i have the same version custom shop epiphone i put an Artec in mine and i kinda like it.

they did a short scale Epiphone EB3,i have one and i used to use it at band practise because it fit in the boot of my car easy. i fitted the Artec mudbucker and it has the thump if needed.

Still has serial/model number on it.
