  1. i bought the parts for this at various times and i finally got round to assembling it all up today it was a reasonably cheap project: the parts consist of: Encore indian manufacture neck american standard precision pickup body bought off ebay was approx £35 2 piece ash squier silver series bridge bridge cover bought from local guitar shop wd music mirror scratchplate the paintwork is a bit patchy and i havent bothered laquering but i did buy the laquer so it may get done [attachment=153197:slabA.jpg] [attachment=153198:slabB.jpg]

  4. why would he do that?he really shouldnt have done that to your bass and he doesnt deserve payment of any kind for that bodgery
  5. if the keyboard player thinks he is that great he should play the basslines on his keyboard while he is at it he could probably cover the drums too i dont know why someone would do that in all seriousness? your trying to do them a favour so the band comes across as a competent unit and he goes off on one!
  6. ok im gonna say fender p vw beetle reliable and practical with a cult following fender jazz vw scirocco warwick mecedes sometimes flash sometimes practical always well made gibson like an old jaguar not always up to date with trends but smooth and dependable hofner NSU
  7. ive been using linseed on my basses i also use kitchen cloth or an old cotton t shirt dab it in to the grain then wipe off any excess it worked really well on my old aria sb looks much better than it did
  8. Agree with the comment about bill ward i have a dvd of sabbath live in paris 1971 i think and he is on top form. My choices are 1. Vinny appice- love the drums on mob rules 2. Topper headon- always liked his drum sound 3. Ginger baker - when i first heard cream i just loved his style of playing So basically i like a drummer who utilises the toms! some dont seem to use them? And im not afraid to say i even like roto toms My advice to drummers roll out the toms.

  11. I bought a redwood 5 tube head from dawsons £69 and i run it through a carlsbro monitor I bought it for guitar but i played my bass through it and it sounds great in the man cave Also not too much eq fiddling between bass and guitar as its only treble bass gain and volume Im half tempted to sell some of my other guitar amps as i really like the redwood
