  1. if the keyboard player thinks he is that great he should play the basslines on his keyboard while he is at it he could probably cover the drums too :)
i dont know why someone would do that in all seriousness? your trying to do them a favour so the band comes across as a competent unit and he goes off on one!

  2. ok im gonna say fender p vw beetle reliable and practical with a cult following
    fender jazz vw scirocco
warwick mecedes sometimes flash sometimes practical always well made
gibson like an old jaguar not always up to date with trends but smooth and dependable
    hofner NSU

  3. Agree with the comment about bill ward i have a dvd of sabbath live in paris 1971 i think and he is on top form.
    My choices are
    1. Vinny appice- love the drums on mob rules
    2. Topper headon- always liked his drum sound
    3. Ginger baker - when i first heard cream i just loved his style of playing
So basically i like a drummer who utilises the toms!
some dont seem to use them?
And im not afraid to say i even like roto toms
My advice to drummers roll out the toms.

  4. I bought a redwood 5 tube head from dawsons £69 and i run it through a carlsbro monitor
I bought it for guitar but i played my bass through it and it sounds great in the man cave
Also not too much eq fiddling between bass and guitar as its only treble bass gain and volume
Im half tempted to sell some of my other guitar amps as i really like the redwood

  5. my brother used to have the cover of ritchie blackmores rainbow painted on his wall sadly i dont know if any pictures of his version exist [attachment=150420:Rainbow.jpg]
    a few of my faves
    whitesnake-trouble
    deep purple-burn
    thin lizzy-jailbreak
    Badlands-voodoo highway
ac/dc-powerage i always loved the bass on gimme a bullet
    hawkwind-levitation

  6. Ive had a few of the indian encores i believe there solid wood also the sunn p bass is the same bass made in india also
the fittings are fender size too i took neck off of one and fitted straight on a fender body as cts pots wouldnt fit in the encore control cavity
I own the strat they did the vintage standard also made in india it came standard with solid body lace pickups, wilkinson usa trem and grover vintage tuners its a really nice guitar

  7. my p bass was pristine till my compressor pedal pedal fell on it these things happen im afraid
i actually prefer basses with a bit of wear these days i had a g&l that was so spanky looking i was afraid to use it so sold on in the end.
and i also used to get worked up about my car getting dinked now i drive a 1990 mx5 and couldnt give a sh*t
