My vote goes for this, an excellent and multi use bit of kit, guitar lead in/headphones out, your playing. Fill it with mp3's play along, speed up/slow down tracks, has loads of rythyms and beats built in, choose different amp types, some basic effects and for me best of all, stick it in the middle of the room and record hours and hours of rehearsals at any number of different MP3 quality settings, to give damn good results. http://tascam.com/product/gt-r1/ Best thing i've bought in years

I've always found that D'Addario Steels had plenty of flex in them (in the lighter guages), i also like that pluck and twang i can get from them. Saying that im experimenting with their nickels too now.

Hi Andy 1. No there's no blending it's one channel or the other. 2. I don't recall the fan being particularly noisy, it's comes on when you first switch it on for a couple of seconds then calms down, maybe it increases during use as and when needed, i can't remember ? J

Agreed, i loved using my 2 band Musicman for years, but as soon as i got a bass with a 3 band eq i wondered how i ever mangaged without the mid control, it makes a big difference to your sound options. Im also fancying a Sandberg but the lack of mid control is making me give it more thought. Incidently im considering putting a John East pre in my MM get the sound control i prefer.
