I think I wanna sell my stingray....but I am not sure!
mudmover replied to aende's topic in Bass Guitars
When I play my ray and jazz, the jazz always gets slug back in the cupboard.....I cannot believe a j or p sounds better than a ray... BUT I've not played in a mix situation hence I can accept the comments previous... A Ray, what a great sound on its own! -
I haven't really used a pick yet....what gauge would you advise?

Christmas is nearing and my beauty is 12 months old so I feel she should be shod with a new set of strings..... What would you recommend.....I love the musicman sound if the helps...the JB never gets looked at anymore...... An ideal pressie would be a left hooker classic 4 in honeyburst

I would like to attend this session...Can also bring the drum kit if required tho it may need a dusting down!! On hols from 25th March so ideally before this date would be good BUT I realise "one size does not fit all" Will keep an eye on this thread.. Cheers MM

Very nice indeed....Ive just purchased one of these.....actually preferred it to a real stingray.......... In my opinion the sound just blows a Fender Jazz away...it also has the growl of a genuine MM. It also highlights ones inability to play.......oo er...good price as well for the condition... I paid £640 for a new honeyburst so £440 is a real good buy for such a class unit..
If you would like I can put you in touch with someone who provides Fender decals if you want to fit a replacement. Ive used them and they are excellent quality.
Thats very kind indeed....I'm not really bothered BUT it probably would transform the whole package as the body really is immaculate....would suit a beginner or someone looking for a back up bass......Ive fallen for a Ray 34 and the sound it produces...its really inspired me! If it doesent sell I'll give you a shout...Need to recoup the outlay of a new ray!! (should have been a rapper).

I'm running a 410L with a streamliner 600.....As a novice what really amazes me is how the sound changes the more you turn it up! It just gets better and better with more vol....dosen't help my tinnitus all the same That 210 look like a feather weight...very nice indeed!
