Kurt Cobain Would Have Been 50 Years Old This Week
Freddie75 replied to Ashweb's topic in General Discussion
Kurt had a huge impact on me too, so much so I had a Tattoo of him on my shoulder when I was 18 (23 years ago). Unfortunately the Tattoo was sh*t, and I ended up on the TV show #Tattoo Fixers# getting it covered up lol. -
I haven't used one, but as far as TC Electronics go you can't beat the RS cabs.

TC RS212 for me. After owning Barefaced, Bergs, Aguilar, Genz Neox etc etc, I've found my tonal heaven with a Genz Streamliner 900 and an RS212. Half the price of some of the other cabs I've owned.

Thanks Warwickhunt - any other opinions on this? Will it give me much more volume? Thanks

Is the Barefaced big baby 2 the best small cab?
Freddie75 replied to Prince_phil's topic in Amps and Cabs
Well, I've owned a fair few cabs myself - striving for "the sound" in my head. I've had the berg cn212, ae212, Genz neox 212, barefaced big twin 2 (gen 3). All great cabs, however, I am now using a TC Electronics RS212 and with the rest of my set up (Genz Benz streamliner 900 amp & fender jazz active bass) I'd go as far to say that it's the best single cab I've owned. Smaller footprint, deep, punchy, sweet highs. I've played outdoor festivals and large venues with this thing - and you can pick them up 2nd hand for £300/£350. -

In very good condition and with the official cover. Has a few small marks but no damage to the tolex whatsoever. Fantastic cab, can get very loud and punchy if required. I've played a few big outdoor gigs with just this cab and it handled effortlessly (I was going through the Pa to!). Will get some pics up over next few days. You're very welcome to.come check it out. Based in Swindon Thanks Freddie -

Which bass cab for clean, funk/soul type sound?
Freddie75 replied to Jaykingfunk's topic in Amps and Cabs
For me, Genz Benz Streamliner 900 into a TC Electronics RS212 cab using a USA Fender Jazz Deluxe. I'm not a fan of dirt myself and always strive for a clean sound. I've gone through plenty of cabs inc Aguilar, Barefaced, Bergantino etc etc and I think the sound I have with this set up is the best I've personally experienced. My band play Funk/Soul/Dance covers from old to new. Obviously your bass of choice will / can massively change the sound through this set up but I find that the bass mentioned above works bloody perfect for me. These cabs will save you a fair bit too compared with others you have specified but sound equally as good to my ear and with a smaller footprint. -
Hi I am using a Genz Benz Streamliner 900 through a TC Electronics RS212 (8ohms) and am thinking of getting an RS112 (8ohms) for a bit more oomph at larger gigs. Will the Streamliner evenly distribute the power between the 3 speakers, is it safe to do this, or is this only possible using TC Electronics Amp heads? I guess using 2 x 212s won't be an issue but not sure how this works with the 212 and 112 stack. Many thanks Freddie

Beautiful '09 Warwick Streamer LX4 in natural finish. Flame maple body, ovangkol neck and wenge fretboard. Lovely slim, fast neck makes it such an easy bass to play. Bass has had luminlay fret markers professionally installed by Simon Bamber at SiCo setups. You simply hold a UV torch over each fret for 5-10 seconds to charge them, I will include a torch. Very versatile, excellent sounding bass, 2 band MEC eq with the vol knob being a push/pull to put the bass into passive mode. It's in excellent overall condition, the only marks are a small indent above the P p/up and a small mark between the bridge and rear strap pin but you do really have to look for it to notice it. The bass has strap locks fitted and will come with a Warwick hardcase, one of the lighter weight Rockcase models. It also has a set of brand new strings. The price is based on the bass being collected from me in Swindon. £650 straight sale or might be willing to trade, amp/cabs only, strictly no basses. Many thanks Freddie

Aquired this in a trade, beautiful bass and in lovely condition with lightweight Fender hardcase. I have just aquired a Warwick Streamer which I will be using as my main bass and cannot afford to keep both so this one has to go. Will post some spec details on later. Retail price on these is currently around the £1650 mark. Based in Swindon Cheers Freddie
