For sale is my 2007 USA deluxe jazz bass in mint condition - comes with the original hard case. Purchased from a fellow chatter back in September last year. This is a fabulous sounding and versatile bass - very light and has a slightly smaller body than a standard USA fender jazz. Newish strings and recent set up. Final price drop to £625 (sale only). Based in Swindon - willing to meet up within reason or can post at cost to buyer. Thanks Freddie

I'm having a complete gear rethink, and as a result I'm putting up my fairly newly aquired Littlemark 3 head. It comes with rack ears and is 2 months old - used no more than a handful of times. I purchased it new from GAK for £419 + £20 for the rack ears. Fantastic little head - very versatile and clean sounding. You are very welcome to come try it out. Would be interested in a part ex for an EBS HD350 or a Fafner I or ii, or Genz Streamliner 900 + cash your way. Price drop to £320. Based in Swindon. Thanks for reading. Freddie
I've just spent some ore time with a much higher output active bass and I can get it start hitting the threshold with a little bass boost and hitting an open E pretty hard. I'm running it side by side with a Demeter Compulator and an Aguilar TLC and neither of those are affected by this setting on the bass so I have to assume the Diamond does need that 18v power supply if you're boosting your signal at all and hitting low notes fairly hard. The 18v power supply should sort it for you
Thanks Molan Regards Freddie

Thanks guys, just purchased a standard 18v pedal adapter, will use with the supplied red cable. Used it at an indoor gig on sat at 9v and was fine, used it on an outdoor event yesterday - more volume needed and was distorting when digging in. Thank you all muchly for your help on this! Regards Freddie

Thanks for your input guys - I appreciate it. I may well look at an external preamp instead. Regards Freddie

Just a cheap one - think it cost about £25 with about 10 9v outputs. What would you recommend? Many thanks Freddie

Thanks Pete. Its definitely a voltage doubler cable I have. I might look at a better power brick.! Thanks Freddie

Hi, I've just purchased one of these pedals and am trying to power at 18v. The pedal comes with an 18v power adapter, - (however this is a 2 pin plug) as well as a 9v red cable. At 9v the thing can distort so am looking to power at 18v. Does anybody know if a standard 18v pedal power adapter will work? I purchased a voodoo lab y cable but not sure I understood the concept of the thing. I have a power brick and I thought by plugging the y end in to 2 of the power outs of the brick will give me 18v - however the pedal is not powering up when doing this. Any help appreciated here! Thanks Freddie

Fender Rumble V3 210 cabinet - 2 weeks old, purchased new from GAK for £310. http://www.gak.co.uk/en/fender-rumble-210-cabinet-v3/111426?gclid=CLjpo-igqsUCFUL4wgodY2wAwg Bit of an impulse buy and don't really think I'm gonna use it. I have the 500 watt combo which I've decided to keep for smaller gigs and rehearsals, and I have my berg cn212 for bigger venues. £240 Based in Swindon Thanks Freddie

Hi guys, So here's the story; I have a 2007 USA Fender Jazz Deluxe 4 string and am looking to upgrade the preamp. I like the weight and size of this bass and can dial in a great sound for most part, however, I sometimes find it to be a bit brittle and harsh when slapping (for the pulls) and when I dig in - finger style. A couple of bass-chatters have recommended this particular pre - and I've had a look online at it as well as listened to various sound clips although its always hard to tell until you are in a live situation. I really like that you can switch to passive mode and that it apparently fits straight into bass with no mods required. Has anybody on else here changed the stock pre of a fender deluxe j to one of these and if so what were the results? It costs £200 so want to make sure its gonna be worth it! Is the passive mode any good? Also, I have no electrical experience but am good at reading and following instructions so is this something I could do myself relatively easy or should I just go pay somebody who knows what they are doing? Many thanks in advance! Freddie

Fantastic, thank you guys I will check it out. Kind regards Freddie

Hi, I have a USA Fender Jazz Deluxe 2007 model and am thinking of changing either the pick ups or the preamp - I'd be getting somebody else to do the work as I'm a novice at this! I really like the bass itself being lighter and slightly smaller body than other Jazz Basses I've played/owned but I've never been completey sold on the overall sound which can get quite harsh/brittle sounding when you dig in or slap (mainly the pops/pulls here). I have the graphic on the bass set flat. I was wondering if anybody has changed upgraded the pickups or the preamp and what results they got - ie better overall tone for finger style and slap?! So looking for some recommendations here!! Many thanks Freddie

Fender Rumble 500 V3 - Got One? What's It Like?
Freddie75 replied to Norris's topic in Amps and Cabs
I see a lot of people bit. tying an extension cab for these. I'm just wondering, is the combo on its own capable of being used for gigs.
Yes indeed, used it on a medium size pub gig last Saturday without needing to push it. -
I'm really interested as to how you find this - I went for the 115 following discussion over on TB - but I was very tempted by the 210.
Will report back on it. Was very tempted by the 115 but alot of the reviews on 115 I could find were back before the 210 was released - so thought I'd take a punt. -

Just pulled the trigger on the 210 extention cab to go with the 500 combo! Heres hoping its a keeper!! -

Yes, how does it sound? I've just purchased the 500 combo myself and not sure which extension cab to get for it. Thinking between the 210 or the 112. Also - adding to the weight could be the side handles?!
