The budget is tight at the minute so I'm probably looking at 2nd hand basses to get something half decent. What would you say a musicman SUB is worth in very good condition? The guy always looks after his equipment so it's a safe buy in that sense. Thanks

Thanks for the advice I've been to a guitar shop today to try out a Mexican p-bass and a jazz but.... They only stocked ibanez basses!!! Also been offered a 2nd hand musicman which is in lovely condition but I think the guy is asking a bit much

Trying to get back on track with my bass playing, had a break for a few years and now I'm having another go with a more open minded approach... The band I play in has written our own material in the past but now we are looking at covering songs and just having fun! I used to believe that any bass with less than 5 strings was pointless (sorry, I blame my teenage years for that view) and never paid much attention to effects either. I'm now looking into buying a 4 string of some description and investing in some effects pedals, any advice will be greatly appreciated! Low368
