  1. If like me you are informed that your neck on your bass is bent and its diagnosed as having a broken or worn truss rod, here's a little tip that my Luthier who looked at it shared with me. 'The nut fits on a left hand thread, and the entire rod is removable once the string nut is removed. To obtain the action required, all it needs is to be the right way way up, reinsert and tighten...voila!' I hope this tip saves many of you with old Warwicks any heartache and unnecessary expense!

  13. Handmade model, neck through, made from Bubinga wood with EMG pick ups. I have owned her since new and while she has been gigged she remains in good condition with the usual wear and tear to be expected after 25 years usage. I had a new battery holder and jack plug professionally replaced by Manson's Guitars in Exeter last summer, (these wear out every 20 years or so!), who also gave her a set up at the same time. The body has been regularly treated with bees wax and cared for. Weight 8 lbs on my bathroom scales. This Bass comes with a Warwick soft case, postage/courier price not included. 18. I just wanted to feedback on this as it has been a couple of weeks since I took Ou7shined's tip about using superglue, and I can confirm that so far it has worked a treat for me, so I hope this helps anyone else who encounters this problem, thanks again Ou7shined!
  19. Thanks Guys, I'll try the super glue and cocktail stick thing first as suggested, failing that I'll consider attacking it with the dreaded drill
  20. Hello Ou7shined, Thanks for that advice, I'll give that a whirl and see if it works!
  21. Hello, I'm sure I can't be the only one to have encountered this problem, so any advice would be great. The body on my Jap Fender Jazz bass is made of basswood, and I'm finding it difficult keeping the strap holder in as it constantly works itself loose. I've used matchsticks with wood glue and dowells so far but the screw still works itself loose. I am unable to use a larger sized screw due to the strap holder hole size. Anyone have any constructive suggestions to resolve this problem? Many thanks...
  22. Hassle free transaction, strings arrived today, Cheers Mike!
  23. Thanks Luke, I'll check them out!
