Hello, Can anyone help please. I have an 1989 Thumb bass and need to change the battery box as the lid has snapped off. Does anyone know where I can get a direct replacement that'll fit straight in, and at a sensible price (i.e not Warwick prices!). Thanks.

I have never used a Mark Bass Amp so cannot comment, but I have been using a RH450 for the last couple of months now. I play in a function band and do lots of deps for other bands as well, so need a variety of sounds and find the 3 presents are great for that. So far I have been unable to fault it and have used it DI'd through PA's and it sounds good. It really does deliver volume wise too. Why all manufacturers don't build in a tuner too is beyond me. The only fault I am aware of is taht the preset buttons are prone to cracking, but that's no major issue. A lot of thought went into designing this amp, and it shows by all the useful features it has, and its overall ergonomic design. In an ideal world trying both amps out at a gig would be a good idea to see what suits your ears best. I hope this helps, good luck with your decision!

My beloved Taylor 714CE grand auditorium guitar. I am only selling, as she is not being played as much as she should, and has spent most of her life unused in the case. I play bass more than I do guitar, and my guitar skills are pretty limited to say the least. She is in showroom condition without a mark or scratch on her, and sounds rich and sweet when played, everything you’d expect from a Taylor. Spec wise she has 20 frets on an ebony fret board, and the sides are made from Indian rosewood, which looks amazing. The top is made of western red cedar, which looks pretty good too, and she has Fishman electronics. If you’re in the market for an acoustic guitar, which can be also plugged into an amp, then look no further, as this guitar really is the mutts. She comes with a custom made fitted Calton case, and rubber sound hole bung if you feel the need to use it. Currently a new model costs 2.5K. I am asking £1500. Cash on collection preferred. I can't add much more that has'nt already been said about his playing or songwriting skills. His vocals are pretty hot too, check out his general harmonies, or lead on numbers Long Tall Sally, Oh Darling, or Maybe I'm Amazed, which I could reach those notes!

I've used my Ashdown ABM 500 regularly for the past 10 years or so, and it has always worked faultlessley giving me a great and varied sound. It looks well engineered and put together too, I'd certainly recommend them....

My experience of the MU for what its worth. I felt like I had joined the Labour party. The political allegiance towards Milliband and Co is way over the top and exceeds the remit of a Union for musicians IMHO. I'm non political and not interested in supporting any political party and objected to my subs being spent in this way, (to say nothing of receiving all the heavily laden crap about joining some demonstratative march every quarter). Most info concerning contracts etc, can be obtained free via the internet to anyone who can read, (and how many of us are signing multi million dollar recording contracts anyway!). A decent contract solicitor can read and explain the small print for you, if your that lucky, hell you could certainy afford to see one! As for the high annual subscription fee, that would easily pay for cover on any Insurance policy and still leave you with change. In essence as both a pro (and now semi pro bass player), I did not find being a member to be of much use or any benefit. Rant over.☺
