This is a rare, very high quality and sought after preamp/ headphone amp, designed by Steve Rabe of SWR fame. The PHA-1 is a professional unit that can be used as a headphone practice amp, versatile preamp, or to create your own mix in the studio ( It's got 3-band EQ). The PHA-1 will allow up to two players to plug in and practice together while monitoring their sound via the dual stereo headphone jacks, and you can plug in a music source like a CD player, mix it and play along. This is not a cheap Chinese-made headphone amp. It's US-made and built like a the proverbial brick s***house! I've had this for years but very rarely used it and it is in absolute mint condition. It still has the first 9v batteries I put in when new and they're still working. It comes with the original Yamaha headphones. I haven't got the original box unfortunately.
