8. Nice to finally say Hi OHM!! Indeed - Ive had many people ask me 'Alice...who the F* is Alice' - she really is a beauty - which im sure is a reflection of the real Alice :-)
9. Cheers Highfox, Thats interesting - the pic is exactly the same as mine!! There is just no mention of it in any of the catalgoues from that era which is strange - perhaps it was an on request sort of deal. Yeah I must say (at the risk of upsetting anyone) that I just love these blazer basses - ive had a few vintage P basses and I actually prefer the Blazers - the pickups are a bit like Dimarzio's and are super hot - love em. Thanks for your help bud!! Matt
10. Hi All, I have just acquired a 1981 Ibanez Blazer bass model - BL 700NT which is a fretless. After doing some research I cannot find any evidence that these basses were ever produced as fretless - a lot of them were defretted during the 1980's. However - my guitar tech (who is also an expert luthier) is convinced that the bass was orignally fretless as there is absolutley no sign that frets have been pulled out and the lacuer is totally orignial. So my question!! - Did ibanez ever produce a factory fretless blazer bass?
11. Hi There, I would prefer local pick up - obviously with an instrument of this quality/price I would rather someone try it, love it and take it away. I would however be prepared to courier it (pending a cleared payment) - if we could come to some arrangement with a hard flight case (I have one I could sell with it). Thnx M
12. Funky indeed!! As promised - the weight of this beauty is 9.5lbs (4.3kg) and the string spacing at the bridge is 70mm. Thnx Matt
13. As requested by another member - I will add weight (it's quite light!!) and string spacing later - Cheers M
14. Hello All, Ive decided that as im not really playing 5ers too much these days - and ive discovered the joys of a pair of 81' Ibanez Blazers lol - so its time to move this beauty on. This bass was originally commissioned by Old Horse Murphy in 2007 - and he is obviously a man of taste. It then was passed to Dave at Obbm Cables - who refined the bass further, adding CTS pots and Nordstrand Big Splits - which sound fantastic! Ive not used the bass a tremendous amount since I have owned it as my projects have gone a bit more retro. The Spec of the bass is as follows; Number of strings: 5 Body: Swamp ash Jean Jacques Burnel Precision shape Body thickness: 40mm Neck: 1 piece rock maple Fingerboard: Indian rosewood Number of frets: 20 Frets: Medium jumbo Fret markers: White Pearloid block markers/matching binding Side dots: Black Nut: Brass Pickups: Nordstrand Controls: 2 x Volume 1x Tone Bridge: Schaller 2000 Machine heads: Hipshot Hardware: Chrome Pickguard: Black Pearloid Scale: 34" Width at nut: 45mm Depth at first fret 19.5mm Lacquer: Gloss Polyurethane Neck Lacquer: Satin Lacquer (15% gloss) Colour: Transparent Blue Electronics: Passive/ wide band tone cut Truss rod: 2-way and carbon reinforcements Head shape: 4+1 (as per P-Bass on Shuker website) Any further questions please just ask. The bass is based 10 miles north of Bristol. Im asking[s]£950[/s] £850 cash. Thanks Matt
15. Have a Bump on me!! Just got hold of a Shuker PJ5 - and I have to say its one of the nicest basses ive ever owned (and Ive had a few!!) All the best with the sale - Matt

19. Hiya, Yes its been used over the years and has a story to tell - which is a good thing IMO - its beautifully aged and plays very well. Its a Fullerton bass - SN - S748324 - and im based near Chipping Sodbury (just outside Bristol) - let me know what you think - cheers Matt
