  1. Forgot about this one 😳. Any offers???
  2. I know this is deeply unfashionable stuff, yes it’s fairly heavy...Marcus Miller uses light amps now etc etc All early 90’s pro kit in great condition. Comes with original manuals and suitable speaker cables (uses banana plugs for bridging power amps). Has toured but always had covers/cases. Sounds as good as you do 😜. Happy to answer questions - collection makes sense (close to M4 J18 Bath/Bristol).
  3. Thanks 😎.
  4. The photos of the broken Tacoma are nothing to do with the bass I’m selling, other than as a caution against shipping acoustics without a hard case! No local interest from the South West bassers? Open to sensible offers, but no trades please. Life demands cash at the moment 😳
  5. Open to sensible offers on this, but no trades please...

  7. The hard case is pretty good for this bass, but also makes it quite big for shipping..would need an unusually large cardboard box, or something made up from two?
  8. That’s why I don’t want to ship it! They are built for sound...
  9. Found another photo - Tacoma Bass, in its natural setting 😎
  10. Reluctantly for sale, the very best acoustic I have ever played. Big body, slim neck, good Fishman pickup and preamp system. All solid wood, spruce top and mahogany everything else. Light construction and very thin sealer/finish. Has a lovely boom! Comes with original hard case in good condition. Bass has a minor repair to the front, but is professionally done and stable. One chip in the back of the headstock - has been stuck back in, but could be tidied up a bit quite easily. Collection only from Bristol/ Bath area. More photos tomorrow, happy to answer any questions..
  11. FET Bassman...do tell me more! I love my F2B, but I’m not convinced the valves are the secret. A FET version with passive eq has always been of interest 😜
  12. The other contender would be an Alembic SF2 filter, but they cost even more. The SWR eq unit (Mr Tone Controls) is line level and very comprehensive, but also has a bypass switch 🤪
  13. Back in the room. I do understand Beedster’s perspective on this, but personally don’t see it as a big problem. Fairly easy to spot if some members are always a bit over enthusiastic about certain brands. As for me, yes Ashdown did give me T shirt once, but I still think their cabs are too heavy.
  14. The empty top slot would have an SWR Interstellar Overdrive in it..but I’ve never seen one I could afford 😳
  15. Best bits of 30 years worth of bassing...
  16. One last bump - the sound, feel and look...but you don’t have to worry about it costing you £8k 😳
  17. I was once sent a rack preamp, in a cardboard box much bigger, with absolutely nothing else inside to prevent it from falling about. Dead valve on arrival, (bouncing around loose) but otherwise it survived 😳. Worst Bass Centre service ever, so I’ll never complain about over-packing..
  18. Go for the higher protection. It’s really worth it. I’ve used the 17 filters for a year or two, and provided you put them in a few minutes ahead, then it all feels very natural and you don’t really miss anything going on. Having said that - mine certainly do attenuate “low” bass a lot, so I try and set my stage sound/level before hand. Otherwise there is a real danger for over-compensating with too much eq 🙉
  19. PM replied...on hold pending the usual... BB
  20. Price is UK posted, in original packing and outer box. Very versatile little preamp/headphone amp/recording interface. Also works well as a DAC for playing music from your computer to headphones. Internal lithium battery, charges from usb output or phone charger. All cables included, in excellent condition. There is a small wear/tear spot on the cloth bag, otherwise as new. Payment by bank transfer preferred on this one, UK only.
  21. No real interest, so now withdrawn from sale.
  22. How have I missed these? 😳. Another one to try...
  23. Dream bass! One day...
  24. Hi, Thanks for the interest! The cab is 8 ohms, 200w designed to sit under the BLX 130 combo, and get its full potential. No idea about exact weight, but it’s pretty heavy for its size, at least 35 lbs at a guess. Would cost a fair bit to ship, so probably not worth it. Unless someone has the matching combo?
  25. There are some situations where they are very useful - when you have small kids in the house, and a lot of songs to learn for dep gigs, and when you travel a lot for gigs..again, that hour in the hotel on headphones can really help later!!
