1. Bought a Spector euro4lx-tw from Dave. Easy and fast transaction, Great comms and bass was well packaged. Would certainly deal with again and also recommend to others.
 2.
...nobody noticed!
Have they noticed yet? ;-)
 3. In my opinion theory is like a road map, it's there to tell you how to get from where you are to a destination of your choice, not to tell you what destinations you can go to.
 4.
Very true, but I'd know and I don't like being dishonest
Me also, although it's fraudulent rather than dishonest and insurance companies tend to frown on that for some reason ☺
 5. It's going to take you a month of Sundays...☺
 6.
... but that price looks way too good to be true!
Probably got your answer right there.
 7. Pm'd
 8.
Playing songs in different keys in too many bands can have its down side. I play the intro into Sweet Caroline and the guitarist joins me on the second phrase but the other week I was a tone out. (wrong band ) The art is to switch back while they still think its them.
+1 Staring at them suspiciously helps too :-)
 9.
Ive always wanted to gig "The Trooper"
One of my favs :-) seems to please the crowd too!
 10.
…just fell asleep reading this post.
Zzzzzzzzzz... Huh!?
 11. If you sell the Warwick you'll always doubt if it was the right one to sell... Plus it's only sensible to have a backup guitar, you know for string breaks and tunings etc :-)
 12. Bought a bass guitar from Colin. Easy and fast transaction, Great comms and bass was well packaged. Would certainly deal with again and also recommend to others.
 13. Something like this? Rolson 60Kg Folding Hand Truck http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ANN03QU/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_JaL2tb104K4VGATW?ie=UTF8
 14.
I've got a five string too. Try playing Velvet Revolver's Slither on a five string
Easy - capo on the 3rd fret :-D
 15.
I don't think those pet chips are trackers, just a form of intentification for when they are found. If they are found. Is gear theft really such a big thing for non-touring bands where gear is rarely left unattended? I can understand the risk of leaving gear in a van somewhere or studios being broken into, but for gear normally kept at home and only taken out for a gig at which the owners will usually be in sight, I wonder if it's a real problem. I don't bother with insurance for my gear and have probably saved enough in premiums over the years to pay for anything that might get stolen - even if I bought brand new.
Convicing pragmatism - well convinced my anyway And yes, pet tags are identification only - but useful for the rottweiler I'm going to train to stand watch over my gear...
 16. Count me in since the venue us where I first gigged it might as well be my first bass bash too. Not sure what to be expected though.
 17.
If your really paranoid about it, how about putting / hiding a cheap small pay as you go phone in the case with it ? £5 or so with a sim card from Morrisons, and sign up to one of those sites track your kids phone, Cheap tracking for anything up to a van load of gear, but dont forget to put the phone on silent, they send texts to tell you the phones being tracked.
Cool idea! Mini Global GPS Tracker with GPRS connection http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003XDQUQE/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_H4m0tb0VSSR2K9NY?ie=UTF8
 18. I've been wondering why there is practically nothing from the past 25 years on this list (I haven't checked or anything tho). Is it because there isn't much in the way of crowd pleasing or bass player challenging material? Or simply the diffuse nature of music distribution now...?
 19. Yeah, she's really pounding on that guitar! :-}
 20.
"you don't need it"
It's not a case of need, is a case of want It sounds like they have a case of the green eyed monster.
 21.
I'm sure it's just I've not been using them right but I've always found limiting the dynamic range to be a hindrance rather than a help....
I'm pretty sure that what the knee bit is for so the comp can leave the dynamic unchanged up to a certain dB and only apply compression over that so just taming the loudest bits
 22.
Pretty I've always struggled with compressors for this reason.
Would a limiter help or a comp with a 'knee'? I've just got a vague idea of those concepts btw...
 23. It's difficult because of the increase in alternative tunings being used now. This really has an impact for the guitar, and renders the use of a floating bridge impractical. The tuning is now one of considerations for a new cover in both the bands I play in.
 24. Congrats (on more than one level), I enjoyed listening to it, and a few tracks got me tapping away :-)
 25.
Can be - horses for courses, I think...Unless you're a cynic who has done about five thousand gigs, or you're playing Jazz, or something...
Thanks - I guess the nature of the OPs question kinda self-selected replies from 'hard hitters'. I'm a cynic working on his first 1000 gigs :-) My style is a jazz/something fusion :-) but I too will be packing liquid plaster in future, and some petite fans... ;-)
