I found the ergonomics so eye opening I've sold off pretty much everything else, including a Steinberger Synapse, however I don't suffer from back or shoulder problems so I can't comment on that aspect

Not completely sure what you mean by channel volume, unless it's pre amp gain, but does this help? http://line6.com/support/topic/2513-master-volume-or-channel-volume/
Tenor bass is an 'official' name for a bass tuned in fourths and strung ADGC.
I guess that leads to alto bass and soprano bass, and of course bass bass, aka double bass! :-D
...Tenor basses apparently have different stringing/tuning...
Not really sure there's an 'official' name like tenor bass as bass is already a guitar tuning alternative - tuned in fourths from E, then baritone guitar tuning in fourths from B, guitar tuning in fourths from E, tenor as stated in fourths from A? (Sorry that's new to me) I use a BEAD tuning so having seen this is a baritone guitar one octave down, I thought it would be baritone bass but it appears not :-)

I use a zoom B3 into the return of my amp, but since my drummer bought a electric kit I don't need the volume so I'm now going straight into the PA. Seriously thinking about moving to just an active wedge for my on stage needs or iem, either way the bass and the b3 are all I'm using

I have seen a thing like the top of a regular stand that is strapped to the cab but I can't find it now Like this but it straps on (!) So no damage to the cab http://www.bax-shop.co.uk/guitar-wall-mount/planet-waves-pw-gd-01-guitar-dock

4 string for me tuned BEAD for metal and std for everything else

I get plenty of class D heft with expectancy bias
And prices don't seem to be dropping. Shoudn't class-D with amps being put together with computer soldered SMD PCB's and sharing generic OEM parts in the PSU and power-amp modules be way more cheaper by now? The only real R&D seems to be on the preamps and they don't vary as much also. We're, again, paying for the brand...
Indeed http://www.audioholics.com/audio-amplifier/clone-amplifiers
Wow, who found piss in their Bran Flakes this morning?
By Jove! An American writing with American idiom and spelling while offering help and advice, using a communication medium developed and paid for by, um, Americans, How rude! ;-)
It's the Spector double S logo
Doh! I'll get me glasses, but now I have gas for a fretless with the clef there :-(

Beautiful, really like that the only fretboard marking is the clef and the body and fretboard woods really complement

Traynor TS-50 extra watts... (micro poweramp?)

Something along the lines of one of those icepower B&O modules might suit? -

I agree with the OP with every point about both the Radius and the Synapse, except I had no difficulty obtaining strings for the latter. The Radius is a beautiful design from both ergonomic and tone perspectives, but the I'm a Ned fan boy and arrived at the Radius from my first bass, a Warwick Streamer, via various Spector NS and the Synapse :-)
It helps if your drummer can keep time. Accelerating rolls so that we always get to the 1 a fraction early often makes the bass sound sloppy - it's not as predictable as it sounds.
"accelerando"; the drummers equivalent of "colourful non root notes"? :-)
Do you plug your Focusrite straight to your amp?
Possibly you might have luck connecting the focusrite straight to the power amp (usually effects return) or if you need some eq from the bass amp pre try unity gain on the focusrite.

Is there a worthwhile de-tune pedal out there for bass?
This is how I'd do it too. I've always found tracking terrible on pitch changing effects - much simpler doing it this way.
This is what I ended up with after much mucking about with pitch effects and 5 strings I'm tuned to BEAD and use a capo -
Because some folks don't read the instructions on the tin http://basschat.co.uk/topic/3178-forum-guidelines/
Yes, "If you choose to express an opinion on the forum, don't expect everyone to agree with it or accept it without question. Be prepared to defend your opinion with reasoned debate. If you can't post a reasoned response or are incapable of backing up your statements with either independent facts, your experience (duly referenced) or the reputable opinions of other people then its probably better to say nothing." Simply stating that the reason that playerX is thought to be great is "obvious", or " because they are great/sublime/game-changing" doesn't help those who do not find it obvious, or otherwise further the debate in any meaningful fashion, often rather leading to an impression of "emperors new clothes"
