1. According to Wikipedia "According to a former employee of EMI, "Walking on Sunshine was the crown jewel in EMI's catalog," and that it was one of EMI's biggest earners from advertisers" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walking_on_Sunshine_(Katrina_and_the_Waves_song) It's good to imagine Kimberley Rew living in the lap of luxury for all this time... ;-)
 2. Thanks! I can see many happy hours comparing a and b now...
 3. Bought a Variax 705 and had a good chat to boot :-) Thanks Paul.
 4. Price includes postage in the UK. Active pickups. Very light and comfortable to play. Very good condition for it's age, just a few light scratches and dinks. The spec is pretty much as the Eruo4LX (below), but the learned opinion is that this is closer to the authentic tone of the USA NS-2s compared with the later LX models. Apparently the main difference is full maple wings instead of the alder/walnut/maple It has some small dings on the bottom edge and a slight mark on the back but is otherwise in excellent condition. A 3 piece maple neck runs through the entire length of the instrument and features a 24 fret rosewood fingerboard with Spector’s signature Crown inlays. Outfitted with a lightweight, zinc brass alloy bridge and nut, premium EMG pickups and Spector’s coveted Tone Pump active tone circuit, Euro4LX basses are equipped to hold down the low-end on the world’s biggest stages. Now £900 I believe this is a very recent model (2013) as I it bought not quite a year ago, and IIRC was described then as 1 year old The colour is the regular Black Stain but with a high gloss finish. Added (again IIRC) a few weeks before I bought it. Neck-Thru Body Construction 34" scale length, 19mm string spacing Active pickups. Both are switchable between stacked (Single) and humbucker by push/pull on the respective Vol control So the stock features are; NECK WOOD: 3pc Maple with Graphite Rods inside for additional strength. 7.
New base day heavy - but no good for metal
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stoner_rock ;-P
 8. I can't see the text "read at 12:27" on either screenshot. However that time does appear in the first one and seems to be the time the other participant "read" something that I assume means checked the conversation or read the latest message. Am I making sense?
 9.
Interested in any trades?
Sorry it took a while for me to see your post, for some reason I'm not getting emails when people post to this thread even though I'm 'following' it :-( I'm not really interested in any trades as I'm trying to get rid of basses I'm not using.
 10.
Buy the cheapest one in the shop. They are all designed to last about 3 years, no matter what anyone says.....
I'd say that you're going to the wrong shop then
...I'd suggest you took a look at HP machines...
I too recommend HP (based on the company I last worked for using and supplying hardware for call centres from laptops to servers, hundreds of machines, all HP, and all A1 for the expected lifetime of 7-10 years)
