2. Lol only joking, £950??? Yea ok...
3. ..............just put a bid on it
4.
It could only be them http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-news/your-parcel-roof-deliveryman-abandons-4033898#.U-fDdyghzdk
Wtf??? Seriously wtf?
5.
I thought you could get Jason Newstead's 80's sound by turning the volume totally down on your amp???
Haha! Or not even turning it on....I've always liked Jason and thought he was great live, never actually saw them, but on videos he's always energetic and fun to watch
6. Wow thanks mcnach lots of info thanks! I think after listening to various videos I'm pretty much set on the Ibanez, just hope they don't sell out before I can get one
7. Thanks both! I don't need it to be small so any size is fine really.
8. Sounds good, I'll have to try and get one soon then!
9. Apparently a guy I briefly knew is the bassist for One Direction
10. Is this the ibanez one you are talking about? Just want to check incase the Wd7 is a different model http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_wd7_weeping_demon.htm
11. A good review for it over on the 'rival' site : http://www.talkbass.com/threads/amt-wh-1b-mini-bass-wah-review.938095/
12. Anyone have any experience with this bad boy? http://www.thomann.de/gb/amt_wh_1b_bass_wah_wah.htm Looks good but does it sound good?
13. Thanks I'll check those out, I had heard Tim used the 105q but wasn't 100% sure! Any other suggestions?
14. I know this has been covered and I've done some internet searches but I wasn't 100% with what I found. I'm after a good bass wah that really screams and has a good range, I used to have a cry baby bass 105q years ago but I sold it on as I wasn't using it. I've recently picked up a Morley Dual Bass wah for cheap and tbh it really doesn't seem to have much of a sweep which I'm looking for. The sounds I have in my head are Cliff Burton and RATM on calm like a bomb. What would suit what I'm after? Tbh I can't really remember much of the cry baby but it definitely had more of a sweep than the Dual bass wah. Oh and I'm using an EHX bass big muff, Thanks
15. So managed to test these bad boys out today. Sounds really good! The strings I've got on there are Ernie Balls and they are about three years old and with the stock pickups you could tell they were old strings as to me they just were a bit lifeless and had just a generic kinda sound. I've still got the same strings on them and would say the treble is smoother than the stock ones and packs a nice punch. Plus it looks good too! Really happy with them it's a shame they weren't a straight swap but I didn't mind making room!
16. Thanks for the concern, luckily it isn't anything really serious, I've had another tattoo done on my right forearm so I can't play with out it rubbing on the body and probably a little more serious I burnt my thumb and index finger on the soldering iron which hurts if I put any pressure on them....woops. Thanks the scratchplate is the same, but the tone control is technically still connected it's just under the scratchplate, I wasn't sure what I would need to unsolder so I thought it would be best just to leave it underneath, yea the tone is up to max!
17. Thanks Yea definitely more thump to them and that was even evident plugged into my Fender Mini Tone Master which really is a mini guitar amp. For various reasons I can't properly play at the moment so when I'm all good to play again I'll describe a bit more about how they sound!
18. Picked up some nice Fender RW pickups and fitted them into my Highway One. The RW pickups are a little bigger than the stock ones I had so I had to make a little more room under the scratchplate but nothing drastic. Haven't had a proper chance to check out how they sound but from a quick test they sound good
19. Very nice! If it was mine I would put a black scratchplate on it I'm liking the black strings too!
20.
Hiya, I've totally neglected this and I'm running out of time, has anyone got a non staff notation version, like tab? I've worked the majority out by ear but would like something as a reference. Learning 20 tunes for this, and a new covers set may have been a stupid idea to agree to. Regards Andy
I haven't sorry mate
21. Nice one I did this at college 10-11 years ago and I think we did 6 performances of it over 2-3 days. Very fun bass lines, my favourite was/is Feed Me and also Dadoo Reprise was really fun. It took me a while to get my head around Mushnick and Son but again really fun to play!
22. Looks good and yea the light control was always on max for me!
23. Amongst quite a fair amount of Trace gear my first amp head was the AH300-7 which I had for years, then got the AH600-12 which is similar to yours. The thing I liked most about it was being able to engage the valve either on the amp itself or mainly what I did was via the foot switch. Always thought that sounded good and having a blend knob was good too. I barely used the 12 band eq apart from slight pushes in the lower and upper mids. But like all Trace Elliot stuff I've owned, it weighed a ton!
24. Lol oh wait I hadn't realised there were more pictures.........my bad lol Yea that is random!
