1. Lots of cardboard picked up from Halfords and also Mark_88MPH Senior which was handy. I have a few bass things at my dads so I actually think I may well have a soft case! I'll let you know if I find it
2. Hi mate, thanks for the interest but I don't have a case or any packing material unfortunately so have got it as collection only or I can meet within a reasonable distance for me and whoever wants it. Thanks
3. Tim bought my Bitsa Bass off me, top communication and drove and collected it from me! Really nice bloke too! Thanks
4. I'm going to withdraw this for now, I think I'll miss it too much if I sell it!
5. I believe the bass was in production from the 70s-80s. I first heard this bass on an album that came out in 95
6. I did that before on my Korg pedal tuner, unfortunately for me I did it on a recording my old band did about 10 years ago for quite a few songs which we were only allowed one take.........I listened back to that recording the other day, we were pretty poor but it doesn't help I'm out of tune for the whole thing...... Oh I was on a fretted as well...
7. It's been dispatched, but will take a couple of weeks as I've had to import it from across the pond, at the time of searching for the bass there seemingly were only two on eBay.com and none on eBay.co.uk
8.
Mackie desk?
Some more good guesses, sadly it's not a Nu-metal style bass or infact a bass of the sea, although that looks like it could do quite a few dinners! Good idea though dating back the GAS to what music was around then, but another clue is the music was still a little bit older than that which I liked when it came out but had no clue about playing any instruments then!

10. I should also add that I've wanted this bass since day 1 of playing bass, so about 13 years of GAS!
11. Well it is technically a bit road worn due to it's age, but not a Fender road worn!
12. Price dropped from £375 to £325! For sale is my recently acquired Fender Modern Player Jazz Satin, which is the upgraded version. Here is the blurb from GAK: http://www.gak.co.uk...-sunburst/84491 I'm only selling this as I have a new bass on the way and I need to sell this one on. It is a great bass and with the 4 way pickup selector switch as well as individual pickup volume controls there is a lot of different tones you can get from this bass. I found that turning the pickups around gave the option of that classic jazz bass tone so with this in mind the pickup selection gives you these options: 1st selection (Knob pointing lowest to the floor) - Both Humbuckers 2nd selection - Neck humbucker and inner bridge coil 3rd selection - Bridge humbucker and inner neck coil 4th selection (Knob pointing closest to the strings) - Both inner coils - To me the classic jazz tone This plays and sounds great and is in really good condition! Any questions please ask Thanks!
13. For sale is my Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass V in Olympic White. Here's a link to GAK and all the blurb: http://www.gak.co.uk...pic-white/85224 I've had this bass from new but haven't had it long at all but I need to move some basses on to make way for a new one that'll be on it's way soon. This bass is excellent and I am really impressed with it. It plays and sounds great, much better than any Fender MIM that I've played and it looks great too. It's got a bit of weight to it but it does feel sturdy, the neck is great and the action was spot on for me out of the box. The pups are great too. This is my first decent fiver, I've heard about floppy B strings, which I don't know what that is like but I can say the B string feels good to me! As you can see the bass is in great condition! I'll be sad to see this one go as I really like it but I need to sell it on. It also has Schaller straplock pins on it as well. Cash or paypal gift is fine. I don't have a case or any packing material so it's going to have to be collection from Aylesbury or I can drive and meet somewhere too Any questions please ask! Thanks!
14. £70 For sale is my Fender/Squier bitsa bass. I am going to be completely honest about this bass and tell you exactly what condition it is in. I've had this sitting in the corner of the room for ages and all it's doing is collecting dust. You could say it's a bit of a beater bass. It has a Squier Affinity body that I stripped the finish back and refinished it myself. It's not perfect and there's still dents and holes here and there which I tried filling but are still visible. The finish has got a few marks on it as well. The neck is from an old MIM Jazz Bass that I had and I think it is dated 2001/2002, I got it in around 2003/2004 and needs a decent clean, I prefer the gunky/old kinda feel. The frets are still good and the truss rod is good too, but weirdly I have only ever found one allen key that actually fits, which is a Fender supplied allen key, the long ones with the red handle which has 3/16 on it. There's also a small hole in the skunk stripe, but I have no idea how it got there! But it doesn't effect playing or the neck. The pickups are Seymour Duncan SPB2s which I replaced the stock ones with about 11 years ago, still working fine, the bass has chromes on it at the moment which are a few years old. The bridge and tuning keys are from a MIM but there are a few small screws missing from the tuning keys but it doesn't effect the tuning. The scratchplate has seen better days too, it and the body were part of my first 'decent' bass and it's also missing a few screws. Paypal gift or cash is fine Thanks!
15. Can anyone guess what it is? Obviously when it arrives I'll get lots of pics!
16. Thanks again, sounds like the American isn't what I'm after then. Lozz I've checked out those pedals but they are a bit up the higher end in cost, do you know of anything a bit cheaper that still delivers the same tone?
17. Or thinking is there something I can do simply with just the EQ on my amp?
18. Whats the VT bass? Would one of these give me that thick sound, or is there any others out there?
