1. Excellent thank you, I did actually own an Orange crush 35b a few years ago but I never really got on with it so I sold it.
2. I am downgrading from my Orange TB 1k and BF Super 12 and wondered if this little stack would suit me. All I want it for is to play at home and DI into my little mixer to do some basic recordings I won't be playing at rehearsal or gig volumes, so can I assume 100 watts into a 2x10 would be more than enough? The main thing I wanted to check is, I recently got myself a Squire VM Fiver(really should post some pics up at some point) and wondered if at playing at home volumes would it be ok with the low B? Thanks
3. Barefaced Super12 sold pending payment Cab now sold!
4. I have for sale my rig which is an Orange Terror Bass 1000 for £400 and a (Cab sold)Barefaced Super 12 with vintage cloth(No tweeter) for £530 or £930 together. The reason I am selling these is that I am no longer in a band and it is way too loud and powerful for just playing at home, so rather than it sitting collecting dust I need to sadly move it on. I will sell together but will also separate. Collection only or I can meet up somewhere, I live in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. I want to get one of the micro Ampeg stacks as that will suit my needs better. I have had the Orange TB for just over a year now, I have used it only in 2-3 rehearsals and the rest just playing at home. It is seriously loud and sounds really good. I changed the valves for some German made RFT ECC81/12AT7 valves back in May 2012. This meant that they start to break up with the gain at about 12 o'clock and at 3 o'clock it really gets dirty. They sound much better than the stock valves. I also believe that this head is in the line of having the hot DI sorted. I used the DI to a little mixer I have and recorded some jam tracks into garage band and there wasn't any distorted signal at all that I noticed. The amp will come with it's carry case, speakon lead and a power lead. It is 1000 Watts, 8ohm and 4ohm selector switch, 2 speakon outputs, DI, Off/Standby/On switch and the classic Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass and Volume knobs and an effects send and return. CAB SOLD! I have had my Barefaced Super 12V for around 3 years now, as most people know about Barefaced, they are loud and lightweight. I have gigged with this 2-3 times and used it in probably 5-6 rehearsals. They really are as good as people say they are. Since owning this cab I never had a problem with cutting through, I was in a 3 piece punk band with a loud Marshall 100 watt head into matching 4x12 and a loud drummer to contend with. Never had any problems being heard there or more recently when I had a few rehearsals playing rock/punk covers with a guitarist and drummer. As well as the great tone, the other thing I love about this cab is how light it is, one handed lift or even easier using two. There are 3 handles on the cab, one at the top and two on the sides. My handles have't had any issues like I have read with other peoples, though there are a few scuff marks on them from being used. The cab has a small knock/chip by the top right corner as you look at it, it isn't really that noticeable but I want to be honest about it's condition. It comes with a Roqsolid cover which has blue piping. 5. Hey, yea as far as I know if you let it get used to the temperature slowly then it should be ok like you've said. I think I've heard it checks or is at risk of checking when it changes conditions pretty quickly, so example from a heated house not in a case straight out to the cold out of the case. I could be wrong so I'm sure others will be along who know more than me Have you got any pics? Sounds like a nice bass, I love nitro finishes. Good luck with the video!
6. At The white horse in High Wycombe about 3-4 years ago we were offered to play for a 'Battle of the bands' where they said loads of bands were playing. Two bands showed up including us. We always took our own gear, amps and cabs. When we got to the venue they said this: Sorry we can't plug anything in like the PA or the amps because there would be too much drain on the power and would blow all the lights in the strip club upstairs. Also sorry looks like the sound man who said he has a generator to solve this problem has got smashed and gone AWOL. Then to top it off they then said 'Oh yea the other band doesn't have any equipment can they use all of yours? But we need to find the sound man first......' Never went back there, just a joke
7. Haha he definitely has Noel's eyes
8. Blobby Blobby Blobby!! I reckon Mr Blobby is the banker on deal or no deal
9. Looks really good, especially for your first attempt! Really like surf green as well. I'm a fan of wear and tear and relicing and I reckon you've got it spot on Can't actually work out where you went wrong, even with your clue!
10. There's no reason to B flat about the puns.....
11.
Something like this, you mean?
Spot on
12. Surely it would be a bass with one string, one fret and then you wouldn't even need to bother with an amp either. Not meant to upset any metal lovers out there
13. Woa...............£1067....... The white/maple is really nice but £1067.....really?
14. I watched it too and really enjoyed it, BBC cut out about 5 or 6 songs from Dookie as they played all of it!
15. Nice! That is one big knob...... On the right hand side
16. Paul bought my Boss ODB3 and paid straight away like before and had no issues. A really nice guy so thanks again Mark
17. Nice! I would happily pay a healthy £0 for that. That spoiler bass is quality, I can see it rising through the ranks and making a sneaky entrance through the back door of Fender to become the P Bass killer
