1. Hello, Tried changing my profile picture quite a few times now both on my phone and on a laptop an I can choose the picture and click done and it shows the picture as change but if I close basschat down or go to another page it reverts to the old picture? Anyone got any ideas? It seems to do this each time I have wanted to change my profile picture...... Thanks
2.
Wow - that is just stunning.
Exactly what I was going to say, good luck with the sale!
3.
So, TNT were woefully bad, but once they finally collected it on Friday, it was with Orange on Monday, fixed Tuesday and with me on Wednesday. He put a new PSU unit in there, a new bulb and new screws as they had been chewed up. All free, it wasn't even discussed.
That is really good service! Does it all work now?
4. SOLD SOLD SOLD Hello everyone, For sale is my electric drum kit with the DM5 drum module by Alesis. This kit is great for a beginner lookin to make a start into drumming or for someone who would like to just crack out a few beats. The kit is used as you can see in the pictures but does work, all the pads and cymbals work well but some of the fixings are a bit loose - mainly the hi-hat hence why it's round the wrong way. It doesn't move around when you play but I want to be honest about the condition. The bass drum pedal is missing one of the springs but it doesn't effect it's working not that I've noticed. You can't play this dynamically as its a basic module and pads and you can't grab the cymbals and stop them. The spare parts and manuals are included and I'm looking for[s] £100 £80 £70[/s] £60 pick up only as its quite big or I am happy to meet someone half way within reason obviously . I'm in Aylesbury. Here's the pics: There are quite a few different kits you can use or you can programme in your own which is the user defined kit selection of 00 if I remember rightly. This sounds great and could be used to record demos as I have done in the past. All leads and stool included! Im only selling as I no longer use it so any questions then let me know! SOLD SOLD SOLD
5. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=180863982250 As you know all £208 will be well spent
6. Very nice! Reminds me of the Fender Highway series
7. I asked the same question when I had a V6 and the general answer was that it was risky - as above. But others said it was fine, I preferred not to risk it myself just incase.
8.
Everything on max
Not really as obviously that would create a black hole if I did, I have pretty much Gain around 11 o'clock, Bass 12 o'clock, Mids 4 o'clock, Treble 11 o'clock and Volume to suit
9.
Pictures?
+ 1
10.
Here's my trusty steed. 1974, all original, well loved. My favourite bass I've ever owned, we've been together for 7 years.
:0 that really is so nice, I love the grain, is the finish really thin as the grain really seems to come through?
11. go for it! I know I really just want to get playing again, The replacement has arrived at work and looks to be as it should be so now I just have 6 hours to wait until home time........
12. Ah, just realised its actually at the base of the neck, what I was looking at was the random brown blob where it would be on the headstock which now makes me wonder why the blob is there?
13. Very nice but does anyone else think the truss rod hole looks more like its fake/stuck on?
14. haha excellent, I was going to say enhanced bass system
15. Just an update, turned it on this morning and there was a high pitched hum/ring which I hadn't noticed before - if I did I don't remember but I was worried it was caused by the damage so rang dawsons and they are picking it up and sending me a replacement. No questions asked and I get to keep the bass big muff!
16. Thanks Letts, I have actually stripped the finish on a USA precision but it did take me forever and when ive painted before it came out ok but that was on a Squier affinity. Just spoke to TJC and he is just waiting on a compressor to arrive then he can do it for me Haha it was slightly smaller than a hummer, a fiesta. It didn't come out the case like this, it had cracked and as I picked it up most of it fell away so as it was really sharp and the finish is atleast about half a cm difference to the wood I lightly sanded it to smoother it out
17. Ultimately I would like it in nitro finish as I don't like poly, so I guess although I like relicing the rest of the finish would still be in poly. For the people who have used TJC how quick was it to be completed? I really don't mind knocks and dings as my Highway One has loads, this one gets to me as the finish is so thick it looks and feels uncomfortable when I play And I would love to one day see my own signature Fender
18. No it was sadly my own doing which I did in an unhealthy anger burst, slammed my boot shut only for it to hit the case...............I didn't open the case for about a month so I could pretend to myself that it wasn't my fault I've been emailing the relicing place and he's shown me some previous stuff he's done on a Dirnt bass and I think it's really tastefully done, still waiting to hear back from the other guy in Stevenage
19. Thanks for the link and contact name. The relic company have said £130 for a bass and just waiting to hear back from the guys in Stevenage
20. Lol at the sharpie, Definitely I'm all for character but the finish is so thick on this thing it feels and looks un-natural. If it had been made while I was playing it and was the cause of some epic moment on stage I would happily live with it. Thanks for the replies so far
