  1. I just played on one in Chicago Music Exchange,

Absolutely beautiful! Really big sound and so lively as well, at first I thought it must of been active but it was definatly passive.

    The neck:

The neck was really really nice to play on I would say similar to a precision but a bit quicker, one thing I did notice was there is like a heel at the back of the headstock which was a bit weird but didn't get in the way. The neck also appears to be a glue on neck as there wasn't any bolts.

    Body:

Nitro finish and seemed well built, there was both the black and the orangy burst basses there both looked cool but I played with the black one

    Pickups:

As I said really loud! Has a 3 way toggle switch which I assume is, neck and mid, all 3 and mid and bridge. The only thing I noticed was the pole pieces on the g string weren't centred up with the string but did not seem to have any impact

    Overall

A really nice bass with a distinctive sound, pretty lightweight as well I would say lighter than all my basses. If I had $1000 I would of had it but I didn't. I can't actually find anything about a UK release date or what shops have them, but it would appear they are out in the US!

  2. I've had one for a little while now and it is a really good amp, the valve is really good and you can blend the clean and overdriven tones together. Classic TE pre-shape, the 12 band eq is really cool to have if you're really into finding each frequency, I never really got on much with the compressor in it though! It is pretty damn loud, used it mainly with a Trace 4x10 and 1x15 but used it only at home with my super12 which sounds really good! - without trying to promote my own thread but I have one up for trade.........

  3. Still available bump - with the previous potential trade there was a small buzz that came through the tweeter which went when the tweeter was turned off-low, my cab doesn't have a tweeter so any buzz was barely noticeable when I got it home.

I've contacted Trace Elliot today and they have confirmed that a tweeter would highlight any hiss or buzzing and said its not the issue that the previous model had (sounding like a ripped speaker)

    So it's still here!

  4. GONE!!!!!

    Hi everyone,

I have for trade a new Trace Elliot AH600-12. Now some people may remember I had issues with this model distorting at very low volumes, basically it went back and fourth to TE and now they have sent me a brand new model with a few tweaks inside, they changed some of the values of components(that's all I was told) and my old head was replaced with this one.

It is in full 100% working order, I have literately just played it for all of a few minutes to check if it works. When tested on a cab with a tweeter on high there was a small amount of buzz which went as the tweeter was turned down. I just find this amp is too heavy and too complicated for what I need now.

    These retail new at £1,100 roughly, so I would say [s]£900[/s] [s]£850[/s] [s]£800[/s] [s]£700[s\] £550 for sale

UK only and if possible I would like to meet with whoever is interested so we can both make sure we are happy :)

600 watts of Trace Elliot tone, comes with a 6 button foot switch which has, pre shape, valve, eq, compression, loop and mute

    Thanks! Any questions please ask!

  5. I'm pretty sure I'm not making this up, but didn't on a number of occasions The Beatles at stadium shows couldn't hear themselves over the screaming so at times they were actually playing different songs?

It'll be fine :) sometimes gigs don't go as well as we would of liked, but just maybe spend some time rehearsing and working through what could be improved and importantly what went well!
