Thanks! Yea will do, both have been dispatched so shouldn't be too long!, I have a USA precision that I'm probably going to do the same with as this has turned out really well!
-
Both didn't sell
re-listed at lower prices
Edit 29/1/12 : Both sold on ebay!!!! -
Can't wait to see the body in that colour! Are you going to put any decal on the head?

1. Awesome. The 15" drivers do the bottom end, the 10" drivers define the sound with midrange.
2. More than a Marshall 4x12 - and IIRC still less than a Hiwatt 4x12 !

Quality, it does look good -
Bridge and pickup covers/ashtrays ordered

That looks more like it -
On the link it says the screw hole centres are 123mm apart - on the scratchplate the holes are 115mm.
Also says the width is 50mm, but if thats the case then some of the pickup will stick out because to completely cover would be 55mm
Just found a jazz pickup cover and the measurements are pretty much the same as the ebay link -
Bridge cover has been ordered from AXESRUS
Just got to find a pickup cover....
-
Thanks!
The paint setting wasn't too bad, I did the front and back pretty much at the same time, then left it to dry in the garage hanging until the next day so for about 14 hours and it was fine!
Any ideas about the pickup cover? -

That's the one I have found, anyone know if that would fit -
Any ideas where I can get some? I have found a seller on eBay for the bridge so that's ok, they do have the pickup cover but I can't see how it would fully cover them so I think going by the dimentions given its for a jazz bass.
-
Thanks! yea I have thought about that actually the scratchplate already has the holes for the covers! I'm really pleased how it has turned out
-
Completed - Fender MIM tuning keys and D'addario flats added
You can't see it in the pictures but the white does actually have a light blue tinge!
Not bad for a first attempt! -
Scratchplate cleaned up
Front painted - Ford Frozen White
Back painted - Ford Frozen White
Scratchplate, Fender MIM bridge, Fender MIM Jazz neck and SPB2 pickups added(pickups were already in the bass)

Hi everyone,
Over the last week or so I have been busy bringing back to life my old Squier affinity pbass that I have had pretty much since I started playing. This bass saw many of my first few gigs but then it sat on a stand until now.
It was covered in 12 year old duck tape, electrical tape, stickers and had numerous holes where I had abused it badly. So lets have a look :
Stickers removed - although still residue, everything removed back to the body.
Finish removed
Sanding completed
Holes filled in
Holes filled in
Primer done on the back and side - Bit of a run on the upper arm but I got that sorted!
Primer done all round
-
I can't wait to see it finished but I love seeing it step by step
-
Just been playing some more and I love it, just tweaking the mids here and there
-
I really can't wait to play it live and really see what its got! Yea I have been thinking I may ask for a change haha
-
So managed to be able to play this above 1 without annoying the neighbours
I set all the eq to 12 O clock, valve pre amp gain to 12 O clock, pre amp volume to 12 and master volume 9o clock. Man this is loud! Real big improvement from the Trace tone it has a lot of umph in it and sounds powerful.
I turned the master to 10 O clock for a laugh, going by my experiance with TE going up one notch really did f*** all, but this was big and I started feeling it in my chest which to me is what its about. I rolled off a bit of 2k and it sounds lovely, the S12 really seems to match well with the GB shuttle 9. I am really pleased with my new set up and the first time in 11-12 years there is no sign of no Trace Elliot!
What I really love is now how easy all my stuff is to move, bass on the back,S9 in the case on the shoulder and the S12 being carried. Really easy!
I should add that all the DVDs upstairs fell off the shelf! -
4x15? How does that sound, bet it weighs a ton?
